I was officially lost. I had went out. Gone to the park and then decided to keep exploring after I got bored of playing around with the other kids and now I was lost.

I frowned as I looked around. Was it just me or were the building getting less and less the more I went? Man I really needed a higher vantage point.

I turned around and started to head back. If only for something to catch my eye.

Something shiny.

I blinked before heading towards it like a hedgehog on a mission.

I approached it and then something slammed into my back sending me flying.

I crashed into the object I was ogling and it was a cyan blue chaos emerald.

I stood up and turned around with it in my hand if only to see a robot. It stared at me for a moment and then for into a fighting position

I was frozen.

I didn't know how to fight. What was I supposed to do?

I whimpered before getting it together. Blue robot wasn't here to save me this time and this metallic one clearly wanted to destroy me.

I growled and bared my teeth at it and then it charged.

I yelped as I was slammed into a building and then it's hands closed around my throat and.. Suddenly a orange hedgehog came out of nowhere and spin dashed the robot into oblivion.

"Woo wee! Gottem! Hey little dude. What you do to make that guy so mad?" The orange hedgehog said with a glint in his blue eyes.

I stared at him for a moment and then I silently begged the emerald to bring me somewhere else. I didn't really care where it brought me either.

As if hearing my thoughts I was suddenly on the highest sky scraper in Empire city. Which for the record was not my first choice.

I was terrified and I was on the side and I was slipping. I refused to let go of the emerald though.

Not like letting it go would help me anyways. This was quite the slope. Which was precisely when I fell.

I closed my eyes. I didn't want to die.

I felt myself focus again and then I was floating.

I was still high up in the air though.

I was too scared to lose focus though and so I just floated there. Like a floating duck.
