It was the week before Silver's second birthday and he knew alot more words now and Shadow was teaching him to count. Granted he couldn't go over ten without getting confused but he had the spirit.
"Mama!" Silver shouted.
I looked over from where I was making breakfast and Silver was trying to unlock the front door.
"Hon, I know you're trying to reach it but.. You're small." Said Rouge from the other side and I giggled before letting her in.
"Not small!" Silver pouted.
Me and Rouge both looked at him and he tried to puff up.
I snorted. "Silver. You know mommy loves you but.. You aren't scary."
Silver literally looked at us like we broke his heart and then Shadow came in.
"Who says Silver isn't scary?" Shadow huffed.
"Me." Both me and Rouge said at the same time and then we laughed.
"Dad! Tell them I scary!" Silver practically demanded.
Shadow grinned and nodded. "Very scary."
"See? Dad thinks I scary!" Silver beamed.
"Mhmm." I nodded and then I finished up breakfast and we ate breakfast burritos.
"Sooo.. I heard someone's birthday is coming up." Rouge told Silver nonchalantly
Silver looked up. "Was that?"
"Big party. Where we invite people to celebrate you!" Rouge beamed.
Silver was quiet for a moment and then he tilted his head. "Sonic?"
"Yes Sonic will be coming over with Tails and Cream and everyone else." I said as I butted into the conversation.
"SONIC!" Silver beamed before clapping his hands.
It honestly made me sad that Sonic was such an irresponsible person. Silver really did like him.
"I will never understand why you like him so much." Rouge snorted. Echoing my thoughts.
"Sonic save!" Silver explained with stars in his eyes.
I blinked. I had forgotten that Sonic was the one who had found Silver both times and was also the one who had came over a few times.
"Call Sonic!" Silver demanded.
Shadow sighed.
I chuckled. I mean I knew that Sonic woke up at 5am everyday from when I was younger and I used to stalk him but.. Well.. He might be busy at this time. 7am was always when he made his first rounds around south island to fight badnik.
"You might have to wait a few minutes." I told Silver.
Which displeased Silver greatly and he started crying.
I sighed and then I kneeled down.
"Silver. Sonic is doing hero work right now. Do you really want to interrupt that?" I questioned.
"I would." Shadow snorted.
I shot Shadow a glare before looking back at Silver who seemed to contemplate this for a moment before shaking his head 'no'.
"Alright then. We have to wait before calling him." I said and then I went and turned on the tv to Chao patrol.
Silver frowned but walked over and watched it.
I waited maybe five minutes before calling Sonic. I mean he did run at the speed of sound and badnik robots knew better than to be out when it was Sonic's patrolling hour.
