I let out the biggest relieved sigh in history when Rouge called me to tell me that Silver was home safe.
I practically ran home with Shadow at my side.
Once arriving, I flew through the door and into my room where I scooped Silver up and snuggled him.
"Silver. How did you get kidnapped?" Shadow growled.
"Ummm.. I looked outside and it happened?" Silver said looking guilty.
"So you knew it was dangerous. Still looked outside and.. Oh my god.." Shadow groaned.
"Sorry." Silver whimpered.
"You do know you have to be punished now right?" Shadow growled.
Silver nodded and then went to the corner without a single complaint.
I sighed and then I went to make lunch.
It was a couple hours later when Shadow was called by G.U.N to investigate a monster sighting near the downtown area.
Sonic was apparently already there and having some trouble getting the beast under control.
"Be careful Shadow." I told him with a hug.
"I will. I'm more worried for Sonic. They said that the creature was getting him good." Shadow told me with a frown.
I nodded. "Go save the hero then Shadow. I believe in you." I said before gently pushing him to the door and watching him leave. I had a bad feeling about whatever was going to happen next.
And I was right. I was watching the news and it showed this monster get a good hit in on Sonic. I watched as Sonic released a scream I couldn't hear as the monster continued to thrash him around like he was a doll.
Which of course was when Shadow appeared.
The monster paused and then..
Sonic couldn't of lived through what happened next if he tried as the creature slammed him into the ground with its full strength.
I froze.
Shadow from the looks of it did too before charging the monster.
I watched the rest of the battle blankly as Shadow ran and dodged and threw cars at the beast while sending some chaos spears.
As for the monster itself. It seemed to be getting annoyed at Shadow's craftiness.
Then it roared.
"ENOUGH!" It howled
And then it transformed into an amorphous black gas and left.
I watched as Shadow picked up Sonic's body and teleported.
I choked.
I turned off the tv.
Sonic was dead.
