I was at their graves again. I knew it was useless to grieve for them but I couldn't help it. Today was the day that they died and I just.. Marianna was only 12 years old. She had so much life left to live and..
Tears fell down my face which was when I heard footsteps.
I already knew who it was and I summoned my hammer. I might not be able to kill him just like he wasn't able to kill me but atleast I could make him leave me alone.
"I'm not here to fight.. Mother.." Silver muttered while scuffing one of his feet.
I flinched. He hadn't called me mother since I killed his father..
"Don't call me that." I whimpered.
I could feel his presence beside me now but I refused to look over at him. I refused to look at the creature who killed my family.
"You know.. Not acknowledging me doesn't make me disappear." Silver said.
I could feel his eyes now but I wouldn't break. I might not know what he's playing at but I wouldn't, no, I couldn't let him win.
"I grieve for her too you know? She was the last person who believed in me. Even after you gave up on me." Silver muttered before walking over and kneeling in front of Mariannas grave.
"But.. She's gone now. All you have left is me.." Silver said before standing up and turning to me.
I merely stared at his shoes.
"What do you want?" I asked sadly.
"I want what I can't have. I want father back. I want you to be my mom again. I want our family. I want Shadow to disappear. Marianna should of been my full sister." Silver said as his voice slowly got more and more desperate.
I blinked.
"You really cared about Marianna?" I asked him in genuine surprise.
"She was innocent. She didn't know the awful truth.. I killed her out of self defense since she forced herself to fight me after witnessing me kill Shadow. She could have been spared but she chose death." Silver said with a shake of his head.
I just stared at him and finally I met his eyes.
"Just because you feel bad doesn't excuse what you did.. And.. I won't forgive you. But.. I understand.." I said shakily.
Silver just nodded and then he walked off.
I sighed before looking at the gravestones one more time and then I left aswell.
