"The Mist Pillar. Tokito Muichiro."
The boy who was explaining stuff... Yeah, he wasn't explaining stuff. It was more like, "Go away! I'm not handing the key over, no matter what! And I definitely ain't teaching you how to use it!"
Tanjiro thought to himself, "What's happening? Are they arguing? What now? Eavesdropping is bad. But if they're fighting, I have to intervene." The Pillar raised his arm and delivered a chop to the boy's nape. The boy dropped to the ground while Tanjiro gasps. He rushed to the scene while yelling, "Hey! What are you doing?" Muichiro picked the boy up as Tanjiro yelled, "Let go of him!" He gripped Muichiro's arm while Muichiro looked at him and sent an insult, "Your voice is so annoying... Who are you?" Tanjiro asks, "What're you doing kid...! Get your... Gh!" Tanjiro grunts as he tries his best to crush his forearm but to no avail. Tanjiro thought, "He's not even flinching! He has thinner arms, and he's smaller than me!" Muichiro says, "You let go." He then chops his stomach but that also did no damage to him. Tanjiro shot a short glare at him and turned to the boy under him. Muichiro was unfazed but noticed something in the box. He says, "Hm? I sense something strange in that box. It feels like a demon... What's in there? Is that..." He reached his hand out and tried to touch it, but was stopped by Tanjiro slapping it with great force while saying, "Don't touch." Muichiro looked at his hand and formed a bit of a bruise. Tanjiro asked the boy, "Are you okay?" The boy says, "G-Get off me!" Tanjiro picks him up and places him upright while saying, "You don't look so good. Take care of yourself." The boy shooed Tanjiro's hand away while yelling, "Go away! I- I'm not handing this key over to anyone. Not even under torture. 'It' Is gonna break very soon!" Muichiro asks, "Have you been under torture? Not even adults can endure it, so it's impossible for you. It seems like you're just a dumb kid who doesn't know his place. And so what if it breaks? Just make another? You know, in all this time you've been grumbling and mumbling, do you know how many people have died? This is what happens when you get in the way of a Pillar. Unlike other you people, a Pillar's time is extremely important. You'd understand if you thought a little. Sword Smiths can't fight. They can't save lives. Making weapons is all they're good for. Come on. Key. Understand your place when you act. You're not a baby anymore, you know." The boy shivers in fear while Tanjiro slaps Muichiro's hand, earning him another bruise. Muichiro asks, "What's this about?" Tanjiro begins to tell out, "This... This just... Doesn't sit right with me!! I'm not exactly sure why! What about consideration? You can't just forget to be considerate here! That's just cruel!" Muichiro asks, "Am I acting cruelly? You..." Tanjiro interrupts Muichiro by finishing off his words, "Are correct! Everything you said is more or less right. But even though you're not wrong. Swordsmiths have a very important and crucial job! They possess amazing skills that are different from swordsmen's because frankly, if they don't forge swords for us, we can't do anything at all, right? Swordsmen and swordsmiths need each other to function properly. They both fight the same fight. We fight every day, albeit in different places. Sorry." Muichiro says, "I don't have time to talk about dumb stuff," and delivers a chop that does almost nothing to Tanjiro. Tanjiro reaches for his neck and begins to cough. While in his coughing fit, the boy listened to Muichiro and gave him the key and left. But for a brief moment, he felt Haganezuka in the area. Tanjiro looked around as the boy asked, "You okay? You shouldn't be looking around so fast..." Tanjiro asks, "Is Haganezuka-san here?" "Huh?" "Is he here?" The boy puts both hands behind his head and says, "I don't know what you're talking about." Tanjiro then yells out, "What about the pillar?" The boy lightly explains, "While you were coughing away, I gave him the key, and he left." Tanjiro rubs his neck and says, "Oh, you gave it... I guess you had no choice there... Well, I don't really know the situation, so I guess it's not my place to grumble about it..." The boy shoots back, "Oh, no! I was really happy. You stood up for a complete stranger like me... Thank you so much." Tanjiro says, "No, no. I couldn't be of any use to you... So what kind of key was it?" The boy answers, "It was for a mechanical doll." Tanjiro goes, "Hm? A mechanical doll?" They both began to say back and forth with the boy starting with an explanation, "Yes. My ancestors made it, and it has one hundred and eight different movements." "Whoa! Amazing!" "Its power surpasses that of humans, so it's used as a training dummy." "Oh, I see. He was going to train..." "Yes... But it's slowly deteriorating, and might break soon." Just then, a loud clang was heard deeper in the forest as Tanjiro asks, "Whoa, what's that?" The boy says, "The guy from before started..." They begin to follow the sounds that were emanating from Muichiro's training. Tanjiro saw, first-hand, how fast he and all the other Hashira battle if they weren't hindered by any other Slayers helping them. The boy then says, "That... Is the battle doll my ancestors made long ago. Yoriichi Type Zero."
