"Argh. What happened?" Tien muttered to himself as he picked himself up from the stone floor of the ring. He could here the Tournament Announcer calling for the medics as Chiaotzu rushed to his side. Over yonder, he could make out Storm rushing to Nam's side as Rescue, Krillin, Wolverine, Violet, and Ranfan gathered over to where Venom, Yamcha, and Launch were trying desperately to wake up both symbiotes. Rescue cradled Goku's body in her arms while Harry Osborn looked in horror at the mass panic all around, wondering why his idol was somehow struck down. For some reason his father Norman was not at his son's side to care for him, nor was he seated where he usually had been since the start of the qualifying rounds. Funny...through all the mass panic going around, he could still feel the Kingpin's intense and calculated stare emitting from somewhere unseen. Still, he would prefer that than the intrusive presence that infiltrated his mind a minute or so ago.

"Tien! Thank Kami you're okay!" Chiaotzu said with glee as he helped pick up his best friend off the floor.

"Chiaotzu, what happened? Did I win?" Tien asked as he steadied himself.

"Yes you did, but we don't know what happened to you. Whatever caused this affected the symbiotes as well. Maybe it was some sort of sonic attack or gas leak? Haven't seen this much mayhem since the final round of the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament when Jackie Chun had to take on those giant monkeys the symbiotes turned into." The Tournament Announcer informed Master Shen's prize students.

"I felt a mental connection from somewhere. Whoever did this might have the ability to emit strong and specific psychic attacks." Chiaotzu informed.

"Was it one of the fighters perhaps? Foul play of some kind." The Announcer asked as he looked around.

"No. Nobody in this room did it, although I wouldn't put it past those fighters from the Turtle Hermit School." Tien said trying to pull off the most hateful glare he could do. However, he was unsuccessful after staring at Launch's unconscious body, a slight and surprising wave of remorse inflicting him.

"Right....I guess we should-" The Tournament Announcer tried to say before a painful scream could be heard.

Storm, who could not take the emotions bubbling up inside her, let out a cry worthy of a siren as her eyes glowed completely white and thunder clouds began to form and crackle close to the ceiling above. Slowly, she looked towards Tien with an intense and hate filled glare. It was safe to say that everyone, even Daredevil, was afraid of what might happen next.

"YOU HURT MR. NAM!!! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A FRIENDLY MATCH, BUT YOU NEARLY KILLED HIM!!! I WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID!!!!" Storm yelled as lightning rained down upon the tricyclops. Tien, still in a little bit of a daze from Knull's previous attack, barely rolled out of the way to save his own life.

"Kid. Stop it. It isn't worth it!" Wolverine said as she placed a hand on Storm's shoulder in an attempt to calm the young mutant down.

"NO!!! TIEN HAS TO PAY!!!" Storm screamed as another bolt of lightning was produced, this time with it being sent directly towards Wolverine. Logan didn't even bother to dodge as he let the bolt hit him full force. Logan didn't dare to cry out, being used to far worse pain than this. You don't become a successful subject of Weapon X if you can't take a little pain.

"Wolverine!" Krillin and Rescue shouted, but Violet stuck her hand out so they wouldn't get by.

"Wait for it." Violet said, knowing from experience that her ex would be the one to defuse the situation.

"Storm, Nam went in there knowing full well of what could happen. This shouldn't be something to cry over." Wolverine said gently.

"You don't understand. If Mr. Nam can't beat him, how in Kami's name are we going to stop the Shadow King when he comes for me?" Storm asked as she finally broke into tears, causing the clouds above to drizzle.
