"You ready for the practice run?"

It was the end of the week and only two days before our next full moon. The past few times hadn't gone exactly to plan with everything that had happened, so this time, mom and dad wanted to make sure that we were all going to be safe in the den for this full moon.

Maddy had practiced staying in the den for long periods of time before she transformed, so she knew that her wolf could cope with it. As for Rhydian, he had never done so before, let alone as a wolf.

The boy gulped and shook his head nervously, "No."

"It's not as bad as you think." Maddy told him, helping him arrange his locker. The boy sighed, "Do you have to lock me in?"

"Unfortunately, yes," I began, "But if your human self can't cope with it, your wolf will never adjust... and that could get a bit messy."

He slammed his locker door shut, "I hate it!"

"It's not that bad." Maddy reassured him as the three of us began walking down the corridor. I nodded, "I know it sounds awful right now, but after you do it once, you'll realise it's not as bad as you originally thought."

"W- What if I get claustrophobia?" He stuttered anxiously. Maddy shook her head, "I thought that, but I didn't." Despite our attempts of reassuring him, he still wouldn't buy it, "I won't be able to breathe!"

"All wolfbloods do this, Rhyd. And once you do it once..." I told him, though that fact wasn't exactly true. He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair, "I'll be tame." I stopped him in his tracks and Maddy folded her arms, "Is that what you think we are?"

He shook his head, "No!... Sorry."

Maddy sighed and grabbed his arms, "Look into my eyes." Rhydian furrowed his eyebrows for a moment but did as she said. Maddy made her eyes go all funny, "You will enjoy this, you will enjoy this."

Rhydian looked at her weirdly and gave me a look, but I just shrugged and continued trying not to laugh at her strange hypnotizing act. Maddy dropped her arms and Rhydian spoke up, "What if I don't?"

I shrugged and stepped forward, "Then stay away tomorrow night. We can't force you... but at least try?" He nodded, "I'll try." He confirmed with a smile before starting to walk away. I nudged Maddy, "You know, I didn't think that your hypnotizing act would work."

She nudged me back as we began walking, "I don't think it was my hypnotizing act that did it." My eyebrows furrowed, "Then what did?" She just smirked before catching up with Rhydian. I stood still for a moment before catching up with the two.

The three of us met Tom and Shannon on the way and the five of us got into a conversation, "Ms' Vaughn's dad's not well, so they've gone to stay with him for a couple of days." Rhydian informed us.
