ANXIETY RUSHED through me as Maddy ran and leaped onto the stage, immediately breaking out into a full break dance routine. Kay and her dancers stumbled back to stop themselves from getting hit.

"Maddy!" I called out sternly, but she didn't even pass me a glance as she continued to dance very enthusiastically. Rhydian called her name too, but with no success.

It had been just over a week since Maddy's first transformation, and she had developed twice the usual stance of energy she normally did and this outbreak was the first of many to come.

The whole year group started to chant, 'Madd-y, Madd-y, Madd-y!'

Once a wolfblood has transformed for the first time, it's insane. It's like all of the energy that had been waiting to come out for the past however many years burst out all at once. You can barely sleep, concentrate. You're high energy, constantly and it's impossible to get anything done.

I gasped when her eyes turned yellow. I grabbed Rhydian's arm in panic, "We have to get her down from there!" The two of us were ready to run and drag her off the stage, but thankfully, the music ended and her act ended with a striking pose.

I sighed and ran a hand over my face, "I don't know how much more of this I can take!"

"You are walking on very thin ice, young lady." Jeffries warned the brunette as the year group flooded out of the auditorium. The teacher sighed loudly in annoyance, "This 'acting out', it isn't 'cool.'"

Perfectly timed, a girl from our science walked past us and addressed Maddy, "That was cool, Maddy!"

The brunette flashed her a smile while Jeffries shook his head in disbelief. While Maddy was pulling some moves for her new fans, Jeffries turned to me and Rhydian, "Sort her out, will you?" He ran a hand over his face and walked off.

I rubbed my eyes, "We can't sort her out though, can we?" Rhydian chuckled and slung an arm over my shoulders, gesturing us to continue walking down the corridor, "She'll be fine. We just need to look out for her."

I groaned at the thought, "It's like babysitting a toddler... constantly." I complained.

"Just give her some time to get used to it. Even though she seems a bit mental right now... its Maddy. She'll know what's best for her." He encouraged. I sighed, "I know, it's just hard not to worry. She's changing. It seems like the whole world is moving at a thousand miles per hour when she's around."
