IT WAS NOW the night of the same day, me and Maddy had to suffer the long lecture from her parents, and I couldn't care to recite it.

They made som valid points though. What we did was overly reckless, but what did they expect?

It was strange. I was so used to being locked up on a full moon that I barely thought about what it would be like to run free on the moors a few months ago, and now, I didn't think I could go back to being locked up.

It was so freeing. I could scarcely even imagine how I contained myself down in the den before, because all I could think about was how amazing the experience was.

Out there with my pack, running side by side through the forest with a possibility of danger at every turn - it was surreal.

But that's when I realised. This kind of thinking only began when Rhydian entered my world. Maybe there was a reason for that.

I shook my head, moving off my window seat to the bathroom and taking a much needed shower. It was quite late in the evening and I had spent most of the day reading, as what else could I do? Homework?

I think not.

After scrubbing my hair with a towel and entering my cave of a room once again, I changed into some bed shorts and a sweater. Despite the late spring it currently was, the nights were still freezing me to the bone.

I sighed flopping down on my bed. Me and Maddy were grounded for two weeks, a light punishment for what we did but I wasn't complaining.

We weren't allowed to leave our rooms during this period of time. I never understood the point of grounding kids. I mean, sure, it was awful not being able to go out and see friends and things like that and you're as bored as heck, but what's two weeks of punishment going to do?

Being as bored as I was, I couldn't even be bothered to stay awake anymore. I snuggled under my two blankets with a huff, my tired head resting on the pillow.

For once, I couldn't wait until school, as it was the only time that we'd be allowed out and we'd have to come straight home.

I sighed heavily. We kind of deserved this. No, we did deserve this, but I was trying to focus on the positives.

I'd be able to see my friends at school, I'll have a lot of free time, and a lot of free time to think, which I definitely needed. And, of course, my late-night thoughts lulled me to sleep.

I groaned, shoving my face into my pillow, half-asleep. An annoying tapping sound coming from across the room was waking me up, but I couldn't be bothered to go and address the situation in my sleepy state.
