Ten Million Dollars Mission

c.20- The intention

"Risa, where is your boyfriend?"

Inside the K café. Cherry threw a query to the woman. Capturing L's attention. "What boyfriend?" Beneath a frown, L blinked. Did she get a boyfriend without knowing herself? "Huh? Did something happen between you and your Boss? What's with that response?"

A frown tugged on Cherry's face. Upon her questions, L's right brow raised. So, she meant Adelio. "Well, things are doing fine?" L tilted her head. It was a lie. She knew damn well she was avoiding Adelio at all cost to play hard to get after giving a kiss. "He is not here though"

Cherry retorted. It's been a few days since she had seen her friend's soon-to-be boyfriend. It was as if the two broke up before entering a relationship. "Ah, who knows. He is a busy man. Not that I can drag him here to have coffee every night" L shrugged it off without a care.

That Adelio better chase her down and fall into the trap. Otherwise, she might have to just rob him without choices. "Risa, did you do something to him?" Interested, Cherry added more questions. "Who knows?" Howbeit, L grinned innocently. Walking away with a platter to serve.

"She definitely did something"

Days and days went on. Five days to be exact. Adelio never showed up at the café. Confusing Cherry more. L never interacted with him either. She played the invisible card even if she was working in the same company. She talked with Luke, Mian and others. But not him.

He was exception. "Luke, are you sure I shouldn't go to the café?" Furrowing brows, Adelio asked his friend. The office had never sounded this depressed. "Yeah. Based on your description, Risa probably is embarrassed. You should wait until the welcome party to talk"

Crossing arms to appear as an intelligent figure in relationship advices, Luke affirmed. When Adelio could not think why Risa was avoiding him, Adelio ended up asking for advices from Luke by confessing what occurred at the beer date. It was quite surprising for Luke at first.

But then he was glad to be told. At least, his friend needed his advices in this matter. As result, Luke observed Risa closely and quickly came to conclusion which was simple. 'Risa is embarrassed'. She must be shy to face her own Boss after what happened that night.

So, Luke suggested Adelio to sit back.

Rather than pushing her off with a force, Luke advised his friend to spare some time for the woman. "What if she misunderstood? She could be thinking I am avoiding her because I hate her" A scowl tugged across Adelio's face. Somehow, tickling the friend.

His friend had yet to admit he had feelings for Risa. But the way he behaved was so obvious for Luke to see through. "So, you love her, Adelio" Chuckling, Luke mumbled. "What are you muttering?" But he received a glare. Causing him to clear his throat immediately.

"I mean it is my first time witnessing you in this state. Don't worry. Risa will come back as if nothing happened. Just restrain yourself. Don't go around kissing women like that again" Luke warned. Making the man furrow brows. "I don't do that always. I just kissed Risa because she..."

All of the sudden, Adelio quieted down. Why did he kiss her? The query crossed his mind. Did he lose his mind due to alcohol? But alcohol had never affected him that much to kiss a woman whom he knew merely. Was he perhaps in love? No, he did not even know what love was.

The response from the man aroused Luke's curiosity. "What are you tryna say? Why did you kiss her when you knew the circumstances?" He forcefully asked. Attempting to make his friend realize the feelings. "I was drunk" And yet, Adelio never confessed his love for Risa.

He remained clueless.

Being new to this kind of emotion, Adelio convinced himself it was only random feelings people had at this age. The reply dragged the hopes of the man. "Seriously?" Luke's brows wrinkled. Just why was his friend being this blind? "What?" Adelio questioned back.
