L's whole body froze.

The unexpected encounter put her into the moment of shock. Why was this man here?! "I have prepared everything, Lauren. Step inside" Keiji beckoned the woman, opening the office door as Rosa furrowed brows. "Lauren, why is he calling you so closely? Do we leave?"

As concerned as she was, Rosa suggested. But they had been cornered. There was no way Keiji would let them return. "Rosa, contact the other companies" Due to the circumstances, L nudged her friend for backup in a low tone. It brought a smile on Keiji's face.

He quietly stood there across from Lauren and allowed her to do as she pleased. "I will be back in a few minutes" Rosa promptly walked away to the rescue. L then stepped inside the office, followed by Keiji. They sat across from each other. Strawberry juice glass was seen.

With a glance, L could tell Keiji was expecting her arrival. "Shall we sign the contract now?" Breaking the silence, Keiji tilted his head. His eyes were colored with amusement. Eager to know what kind of response would come up. "I thought you had withdrawn"

L retorted.

"The previous contract wasn't to my liking. Forgive me for the sudden withdrawal" Keiji grabbed the file which rested upon the table surface. "Now, shall we start over?" He asked, handing the contract to the woman. But L remained unbothered. She stared through his gaze.

Waiting for her friend to return. "If this is how you are trying to pull some strings, it is not going to work" Keiji, who saw through it clearly, put the file down. And Rosa knocked on the door. Attracting the attention. Until now, L had never spoken a word as a reply. "Lauren,"

However, rather than good news, Rosa came back with a defeated frown on her face. "What's wrong?" "Every company rejected the offers. It seemed someone had shut out the opportunity for us" Rosa bent down and whispered. Only one conclusion crossed.

Takahashi Keiji, he did pull some strings to force L into contracting with him. Just to have her in his palm, he reached out to shut down the other companies. Just for her, he did everything he could. "I see, thanks" L returned a nod to her friend, staying tranquil.

"So, shall we continue?"

Keiji smirked while his arm rested on the sofa. He had cornered her successfully. "Well, that's quite a lot of effort you put in, Mister Takahashi" L gritted her teeth. "I will take that as a compliment" The man willingly accepted. "Rosa, give me the pen" This was enough,

She had messed around enough to get his attention. One step forward was convenient. The words stunned Rosa unlike Keiji who was satisfied. "Try to make it quick for the delivery. I have an important event in last week of this month" After signing the contract, L reminded.

"Of course. We will gladly perform as best as we can" Keiji's face was beaming with rays of delight. Although L was a sucker for pretty men, she managed to put on a cold expression. "Psycho" A murmur crawled up between her lips. She got up from the sofa.

Ready to leave. "Wait, Lauren" Keiji voiced, standing up in hurry to catch up with her. "Are you leaving already?" His frown indicated the displeasure. "Obviously. I have nothing to do here" L straight up declined. "Can't you stay? I have a few questions to ask"

His tone was low, begging her to stay.

L blinked. A few questions? "I am not that free to mess around" She turned it down. Walking off and yet Keiji queried out loud; "Do you like tuna?" It was random. Attacking the woman with confusion. What kind of question was that? Simple yet complicated.

"Why do you ask?" L furrowed her brows. "Do you?" But Keiji refused to answer. His persistent query showered an ounce of pressure on L's shoulders. Seriously? There was neither start nor end. "I don't hate it" She walked away after giving a response. "See you tomorrow!"
