c.34- The truth

“Here”

While getting on the car she had prepared in advance, L handed a hundred thousand dollars to the guy who had helped her to get out. She was in hurry. Inserting the car key without a care about others. “I think he really loves you. Look at him coming here alone to rescue you”

The guy, checking the money, stated. Capturing the woman’s attention. True. Adelio did not care to assure it was his mother kidnapping her. He just straight up rushed here to save her singlehandedly. A man in love was truly terrifying and yet worriedly blind at the same time.

“Yeah, I can see” L shrugged. Furrowing brows as she pulled down the cap. “You already knew! Why would you do that to him? If you marry him, you would get more than five million” A guy under mask, confusingly, asked the woman. “There are some matters you don’t know”

L let out a sigh. This was a system. She could do nothing about him. She could not even feel guilty for manipulating him in view of the fact that he did not exist. “Weird” The man closed the car door after mumbling. “At least, I had fun, Adelio. Thank you for these memories”

Holding the steering wheel, L whispered.

Heading to somewhere quiet people rarely passed by, L parked the car. She checked her bank account. Nine million dollars. Including the money she borrowed from Adelio’s mother, she was richy rich at the moment despite the one million she used in between to live on here.

“Vio” She called out. Encountering the man beside her in the car. But to her surprise, Vio did not have mask and duty coat on. He was wearing causal trench coat and white sweater beneath. The black-colored trousers remained the same though. L’s eyes widened, her mouth agape.

He had soft features that could mistake him as a woman and yet he looked handsome at the same time. The compliment for him would be ‘pretty boy’.  “Who are you?!” L raised her tone. Causing the man to furrow brows. “Must you have to embarrass me like that?” Vio murmured.

“You were the one who told me to get rid of the mask. Since the first mission is over, I thought it would be a mere wish to fulfill” Looking to the front under a frown, he retorted. It was when L’s lips curved up into a grin. “If I knew you were this pretty, I wouldn’t have annoyed you”

She beamed.

The word ‘pretty’ somehow flustered the man. His ears flushed. “What nonsense is that?! Forget it. Where is the money?” Vio changed the topic. Noticing him blushing, L followed the flow and gave an answer. “Here. And I have a request to make” Her statement confused Vio.

“You must have forgotten the fact that you work under me, Miss L. You have no right to make requests at the moment” His attempt to cease her caused L to roll eyes. “Says the one who removed the mask” She muttered. Getting on the man’s nerves. “Anyway, I will consider after”

Vio let her continue. “The five million I borrowed from Morana; can I carry it with me all the time?” As expected from the money lover, L’s demand failed to surprise the man. “So, what you are trying to say is you wish to take it along with you in next mission?” Vio turned.

Raising his right brow as L nodded. “I will do anything in return” The woman batted her eyelashes, wearing a smile with stars gleaming in eyes. To have everything she wanted, she never hesitated to use her charm. For a moment, Vio stared at her in complete silence.

He then sighed.

“Sure. I can let you take that phone always since the bank account will remain” His permission fell. Delighting the woman entirely. What an unexpected allowance! She believed she would have to persuade him for some days at least. Now, he straight up agreed to permit.
