What did she say?"

Leaning on the pillar with arms crossed, Finn threw a query which ceased the man's steps. "I thought you had returned already" Caleb approached his friend. "Of course not. I am not leaving until I get to know the relationship between you and that strange woman"

Finn frowned. "She is just a fan" Caleb swallowed the truth. There was no way his friend would accept it if he revealed what actually occurred. It's better to seal his lips. "Really? Your face says the otherwise" Finn was quick to catch up no matter how serene his friend remained.

A sigh crawled up between Caleb's lips. He could never lie to his friend. "She is terminally ill. Her last wish is to learn from me. She said she's fine with any job as long as she gets to stay by my side" At last, he confessed everything. "What?!" A scowl took place on Finn's face.

"Don't tell me you agreed to it! She is just a random woman who appeared out of nowhere, Caleb! You hid your identity well, how the heck did she find out anyway?! Isn't she a stalker? She must be lying to you! Tell me you rejected her instantly!" Worry overlapped.

His tone filled with vexation.

"I haven't approved yet. It is just I kind of feel bad. What if she is stating the truth? We can be wrong about her. I will just ask for affirmation next time" Caleb's soft side infuriated his friend. "You gotta be kidding me! She is a huge mess! She is going to bring a lot of trouble!"

Baffled, Finn raised his tone. "Why don't you follow me to clarify? If it turns out to be true, you cannot protest about her working with me" Caleb made it up. "You don't understand, dude. You are being soft over things you shouldn't be" Finn pressed his temples.

Why did he even befriend this man in the first place? Such a headache! "You should come with me to check it instead of seeing the bad side only. Not everything you assume can be true" Caleb remarked. It made Finn sigh. This poetic man was too good for this world.

"Of course, I can't let someone as soft as you go alone and be convinced by that strange woman. But if she happens to be lying, I am going to put her in jail. You have no right to interfere by then" Finn pointed his finger. "Isn't it too much? We have yet to know the truth"

Caleb furrowed his brows.

"Not at all" Finn shrugged.

On the other side, L yelled in the car. "I FUCKING DID IT! I MANAGED TO FIND HIM IN A WEEK! I AM SUCH A GENIUS!" She could not stop being so proud of herself. The universe seemed to be working for her now.

"Now, I have to bribe a doctor" Grinning widely, L searched for nearest hospital location. After that, she left the rented flat, returning to her house. "Lilith has a taste" L explored the house, feeling satisfied with the design. "I can't believe I have to live alone in this big house"

Lilith lost her parents before she turned twenty. As result, she did everything she could to live on in this harsh world even it meant she had to stalk celebrities. "Wow, so many snacks! Aha, Lilith is my favorite character now" L nodded in approval as she clasped her hands.

It took a day for L to receive a phone call from Caleb. "Yes, Lilith is speaking" Although she expected him, she pretended to be clueless. "It is me, Caleb" A serene voice permeated into L's ears. She could listen to him forever. His voice was so soft and gentle like warm breeze.

"Oh! Yes?!"

L waited, patiently. "I am sorry for asking this, but is it okay if I meet with your doctor to confirm the situation? I don't intend to say you are lying. It is just I need clarification for things to work out as quickly as possible" Caleb made it sound polite. Amusing L somehow.
