"On time"

A murmur crawled up between L's lips when she saw the man's car arrival. "Boss!" Waving while holding the purse, L ran towards Adelio who was about to call her. It seemed she had been waiting for his arrival so that he needed not to contact her. Adelio's eyes gleamed.

It might sound insane to others if he disclosed that he could see the bright rays embracing the woman's aura. Just like the sun rising from the east, he felt warm and delighted to see her. She really was beautiful. "Did I make you wait for too long?" Adelio asked; concerned deeply.

But the woman shook her head. "Of course not! You are on time, Boss!" L beamed. The smile never failed to grasp onto the man's heart. "Then, shall we go?" Adelio opened the car door for the woman. Receiving a nod; "Sure". He learned the ways to talk to Risa with Luke's help.

At first, Adelio thought he could talk about the debt matter with Risa at the dog park. Howbeit, Luke stopped him from pushing the woman away. Luke believed it would embarrass Risa. So, instead, Luke made Adelio learn how to maintain the conversation and behave.

The scent wandered around.

L's perfume spread in the car pretty quick as soon as she settled. Adelio could not help but gulped. When did perfume smell this soothing? "Is it far, Boss?" To tear apart the awkward silence, L began the topic. "Adelio" But the man voiced back with a confusing response.

"Pardon?" L turned. "You should just call me Adelio from now on" He asserted. Eyes focused to the front while driving towards the destination. It put a smirk on L's lips. Looked like someone got obsessed over it. "Wouldn't it be a bit rude for me to address you by the name, Boss?"

With eyes avoiding him, L retorted. It annoyed Adelio on the other side. She did not even call Luke by putting Sir at front. So, why couldn't she as well with him? "Just do as I say, Risa. You have called me once that night also. There's nothing wrong with it" Adelio convinced.

Bringing up the topic he's been dying to talk about. L quieted down. The beer date. He's obviously mentioning it to make her talk out loud. "Well, about that, I apologize for my behavior. I was drunk back then. I did not mean to-" "But I liked it" The words cut L's sentences off.

She just fell silent.

What a straightforward man. No hesitation was there even. He just admitted it. "Didn't you avoid me because you felt disgusted?" L furrowed her brows; playing the victim card. It caused Adelio to clench his jaw. He should have confessed! Looked like she misunderstood.

That Luke! "No, Risa. I don't have any regrets for that night. I enjoyed it. I wasn't avoiding you purposely but because you were avoiding me first, I wanted to give you some time to consider carefully" Adelio calmly replied. Still concentrating on the drive. "Oh..."

Of course, L had nothing in palm to respond. The mission was about to conclude at this point. He might not have disclosed his feelings directly. But the admission just now was sufficient to predict the future. The silence caused Adelio to steal glance at the woman beside. Shy?

Was he a bit rushed? Should he have remained silent? "We will be there in a few minutes" Adelio changed the topic when he realized he had ruined the mood with a single sentence. L's gaze swayed. Observing the man who was trying his best to adjust the atmosphere.

Luke must have taught him well.

"It will be my first time visiting the dog park actually" L tagged along to shift the topic. "Because you don't own a dog?" Adelio threw a query. "Yes. Also, I don't think I have time to spare for that" L's tone lowered slowly. It put the man to realization. The debt. She's working hard.
