“Vio”

Once she returned to her house with the strawberry ice cream, L called out the name right away. Her curiosity was hard to neglect. She had to know what actually occurred in detail. “What do you need this time?” The man appeared, sitting on the couch beside the woman.

“You already know what I will ask” L turned her head to maintain eye contact with Vio. “I told you it was a mere malfunction” His response brought a frown upon the woman’s face. “What would you say if I claimed I felt familiar with that man?” She threw a query.

It was when the man quieted down entirely. He broke the eye contact, peering down with a slight frown. “See? You seem to be hiding something from me, man. Is there anything I should be aware of?” L’s right brow arched. “No” Yet, Vio denied. “Are you being serious right now?”

L hissed. “What?” “You are obviously lying. Who is that faceless man?” Her voice slightly rang with frustration. However, the way she addressed the man caught Vio’s attention fully. Faceless man?  “What do you mean faceless man?” His confusion wandered.

The frown carried disbelief.

Somehow, L felt as though Vio had a huge secret in his hand. “I couldn’t see his face” She responded. Vio gulped. His eyes glanced around, thinking about something. “What’s with it? Was I supposed to see his face?” Perplexed, L added a query. “I am going back” “Huh?!”

The woman’s tone raised in vexation when the man stood up from the couch. “You can’t be serious right now, Vio. Do you think I will let you off? Don’t you dare to leave me without explanation. I need to know what is happening right now” L promptly got up.

“You can ask the question after you accomplish the mission. The system may glitch a few times in future; don’t panic by then. I will come to your rescue if it happens” After vowing, Vio vanished into thin air. Leaving the woman in pool of anger. “VIO! COME BACK!”

Her shout conquered as the pillow in her grasp flew in the air to hit the man, only to fail. “Ugh! What do you mean it is a system glitch?! Something is obviously wrong! Must you have to leave me wondering like this?!” L’s jaw clenched, breathing heavily to soothe her exasperation.

“Accomplish the mission, huh?”

Next day, L headed to the villa. She held a tissue in her grasp. Her steps became heavy and slow. “Welcome, Miss Lilith” Amara flashed a smile. “Young Master is currently in the painting room. Can you wait for him to come out?” She requested. Making L frown.

Wait for him? “Is there a rule in this villa not to disturb him when he’s in painting room?” Out of curiosity, she asked while stepping inside. “Ah, Young Master doesn’t like to be interrupted when he is concentrating on his art. I hope you can understand, Miss”

L beamed; “It is okay. I don’t mind” She quietly sat in the living room. Amara brought some cookies for her along with orange juice. “Thank you. By the way, when did Caleb go in?” L attempted to calculate the time. “Since last night, when you left, he has been inside”

Amara’s answer stunned the woman wholly. For twenty hours straight?! “Our Young Master is passionate about his art. He spends his time in the painting room most of the time. You are the first ever guest he has brought to home. I hope you can look after him, Miss Lilith”

Suddenly, Amara bowed.

Surprising the woman so that she stood up in hurry. “No, no. Please don’t be like that” It put L ill at ease. A woman old enough to be her mother was bowing, how could she sit and nod along?! “I am glad to be here. I hope my presence does not bother anyone” She replied.
