L held in her breath.

"If you are the one recommending it, I don't see any reason to refuse" Accepting the ice cream, Adelio walked towards the cashier. It was when the woman let out the breath, she had been holding in. "I should be cautious" A whisper escaped between L's lips while she followed after.

Her character was a silly one. A typical weak female lead who would move people's hearts with words. She must not reveal her true self. The mission must succeed. "That will be 12 dollars, Sir" The receipt fell. L took the cash out of purse and yet Adelio paid with his card in advance.

"Wait, I am supposed to pay for it!" Stunned, L ceased the man. "No, Risa. A man always pays for his woman" Silence conquered above them. Even the cashier blushed over Adelio's words. What a sweet couple! Surprised, L looked down. Tucking her hair behind ear. Wow.

That was unexpected. Had this man been straightforward from the start? But wasn't it a bit early for him to confess? Besides, the atmosphere and the place did not fit in. She could not accept it right now. "Please don't joke around like that" She murmured with a small smile.

Attacking the man harshly.

Adelio wished he could respond it was not a joke but something inside him stopped him from saying so. Not a right time yet. She must find it hard to accept him. After all, even he himself had not sorted his feelings. "Sorry" Adelio looked away. The air around them became heavy.

Putting the cashier ill at ease. Weren't they a couple?! "Thank you. Please come again" The two stepped inside the car to leave. This time, they both had to bid farewell for real. They had to part. L enjoyed the ice cream on car while Adelio saved it for later due to certain reasons.

When the car parked, L got down along with Adelio who decided to see her off until she got inside. "Thank you for today. I had a lot of fun thanks to you, Boss" Grinning, L bowed her head. She had purposely called him 'Boss' to push him off. "It is fine. You can spare the formalities"

Annoyed by the distant feeling between them, Adelio's brows wrinkled. It was all okay until he spoke without second consideration. Now, because of him, she had to become so distant. "See you on the day of welcome party then" L walked away, casually. Not caring a bit.

Grasping the man's heart.

"I messed up" Sighing under breath, Adelio scowled. He had no choice but to head back in desperation. "How was it?!" His friend, Luke, welcomed him with a bright grin. It turned out Luke had been waiting for his return since a few hours ago. "I don't know" Adelio replied.

There was an ounce of dissatisfaction gleaming in his eyes which caught Luke's attention. "Don't tell me you ruined the date" With the upper lip raised, Luke frowned. His eyes followed the man who's taking the blazer off. "Who let you in?" Upset, Adelio shot a glare.

"Wow, so you are kicking your friend out now? The friend who is giving out relationship advices?" Scoffing, Luke settled down on the lounge. Another sigh crawled up between Adelio's lips. He turned; "She indirectly rejected me". The words stunned the friend entirely. "Eh?! Reject you?"

Even Luke was in denial. How could someone reject his handsome friend? Not to mention the wealth this man held. Was it possible for someone to refuse this shining Adelio? "Well, if you pissed her off, I guess she made a correct decision" Luke shrugged. "Out right now"

Adelio hissed.

Causing Luke to gulp. "Relax, I am joking" He forced a chuckle to lighten the atmosphere. "Maybe, Risa has something on her mind. She could have rejected you due to another unexpected reason" To make it up, Luke brought the sensitive topic in. It hushed down the man wholly.
