c.48- His peaceful sleep

After washing his hands, Ryuu glanced to the side.

The quiet atmosphere in here was soothing. The light was not too bright. The temperature was set to a perfect state. A married life, would it give him a peaceful life like this? A thought crossed his mind. “Huh?” Even Ryuu was surprised by his own question. What a joke.

Was he turning insane?! All because of the woman named Laurestine Pierre! Ryuu furrowed brows and threw the tissue, which he used to wipe the water off. His steps then headed to the bedroom. His heart began to pound. Why was he thrilled over this? He must be insane.

“I am coming in” Ryuu notified before stepping inside the bedroom. In there, he witnessed the sight of the woman laying on her right side. The thighs were revealed under short nightgown. Wasn’t she scared of him? What if he took advantage of this moment?

Ryuu gulped. “Are you gonna stand there like that for the rest of the day?” L’s gaze lifted. “I don’t think this is appropriate” Suddenly, Ryuu regretted his decision. There was no way he would be able to restrain his wild desire. He did not even know where it even came from.

“We are only sleeping. Not to have sex”

Beneath a frown, L made it clear. “Plus, aren’t we on a date right now? Follow my instructions” She put up the only card she had to convince the man. Ryuu exhaled. It was only a cuddle, nothing more. It must be nothing for a foreigner like her. Ryuu slowly approached.

He sneaked into the bed; lying beside L with his eyes glued to the ceiling. His body remained stiff. “First time in a bed with someone?” Raising her right brow, L threw a query. “Mhm” Ryuu admitted. “Sometimes, I want to kiss you so bad because of how cute you are”

Smiling, L wrapped her arm around the man’s chest. Startling him. Her words and the actions after were unexpected! “Can’t you turn to this side? Just bury me between your arms. I need your warmth” The request came up. No words returned though. Causing L to scowl.

Did she fail to persuade him? Howbeit, suddenly, Ryuu turned over to pull her forward, embracing her between his arms without saying a word. Stunning the woman entirely. So, rather than words, he was act of service man? “You smell nice” L mumbled with eyes closed.

“Mhm”

The woman failed to catch a glimpse of Ryuu’s cheeks reddening, due to the fact that he rested his chin on top of her head. Her warmth hugged him. The alluring scent which could not be described, tickled his nose. The room was in deep silence. L could hear the heartbeat.

Not hers, but his abnormal heartbeat. This man must be going feral. “Ryuu, if you actually fall asleep without any interruption, will you make me your sleeping pill?” A question tore apart the silence. The man gulped. Was she asking him to sleep with her every night?

“Only if it happens” Ryuu returned an answer, unbothered. No way in hell he would actually fall asleep. “Promise then” L embraced the man tighter than before. Giving the man a heart attack almost. The serene atmosphere conquered once again. Putting them at ease.

L’s thumb gently caressed Ryuu’s back. Now, the man who declared it’s utterly impossible had fallen asleep under the woman’s soft touch. L raised her head slowly to take a glance up at Ryuu. And she grinned in delight. Mission success! Reading tons of books saved her!

He was exhausted from the start.

Probably the main reason why he felt sleepy under the caress. “Adelio had fear of crowd. And Ryuu has insomnia. I guess I will have to solve these men’s problems in order to gain their hearts” A sigh escaped between L’s lips. She quietly waited in bed for the man to wake up.
