Dr. Edmondson POV
I watched as young "Everett" left, following the nurse. Surprisingly the baby that was strapped to his chest was sleeping through everything. I turned to look at the woman laying on the table. She was pale and barely breathing. I wasn't worried, because I knew exactly how to help her.
Grabbing the rag I asked for, I cleaned off her arm some more. I could tell that onle of them tried to keep the wound clean before the infection set in. The blood wasn't as crusty closer to the wound. I then grabbed the jar of antiseptic cream.
Using only my first two fingers, I scooped up a generous amount and put it on the wound. That would clear up the infection and stop the bleeding completely.
Now for the poison, I head over the the cabinet on the far south wall of the room. In there we have a variety of herbs used to treat all kinds of poisons and ailments.
I grab some Calendula which is a little yellow flower that helps with anti-inflammatory properties and can help calm redness and inflammation and ease skin discomfort. Some
Chamomile that is an antioxidants which help the skin to regenerate, tighten pore. After I had a handful of those I put them on the counter and open another cabinet. In there I gather some Peppermint because it cleanses the skin and has antiseptic and antibacterial propertie. Holy Basil because it will be cooling and soothin to the wound. And lastly, some lavender, mostly for the lovely floral scent. It will help hide the scent from the other herbs. After everything has been gathered, I start to grind them together. I've done this some many times, my mind wanders as it do it. "Everett" must really be distressed and tired to not remember me. Honestly, I would notice him immediately anywhere.
Prince Jacobe just commands attention whereever he goes. Even at such a young age. Since that is the Young Master, the baby must be the new Princess. And since they are obviously running, the castle has fallen.
Being the old court physician, I have gained a lot of knowledge for different poisons and ailments. I will make a lot of a bunch of different medicines. Especially for the baby. Since she isn't with her mother, unfortunately, she has a greater chance of getting sick.
I have finished with my current task, and moved to the woman. Upon closer inspection, she appears the be Queen Jazlyns favorite maid, Emily. I know she will take care of those two to the best of her abilities.
Whilst my mind had wandered, my hands moved on their own accord. I checked what I had done, just in case I messed something up. The antiseptic cream had been wiped off and was replaced with my mixture, and new bandages were wrapped tightly on her arm. As far as I could see, everything was perfect.
Now I just had to make these medications before Prince Jacobe came back.
"Nurse, I need you to do a couple of things for me. Oh, could you also bring my official writing supplies."
