King Dezmond's POV

As I sit on the throne in Liquidora, I feel a sense of pride. For years, I have wanted to conquer this pathetic country. A country ruled by a woman doesn't deserve to exist!

While we laid siege to the castle, King Daniel, King of Liquidora, was our main problem. Watching him fight and slay our men was very entertaining. His movements flowed effortlessly, almost as if he were dancing, even with all of his heavy armor.

It had gotten to the point where my men were actively avoiding the pathetic King. Angry at how weak they were acting, I shouted a warning to them.

"I will personally kill the very next soldier I see cowering from this Silly King! Then I will torture anyone I see next to him who isn't trying to kill him! You will wish you were dead!" I bellowed.

Immediately after my announcement King Daniel looked me in my eyes and smirked.

That Bastard!

How dare he make a mockery of me? I'll make him pay!

I turned to the soldier closest to me and gave him a mission. A mission that will ruin this country.

There was a reason why I picked tonight to attack full force. My seer told me tonight's when Queen Jazlyn will give birth to her daughter. The girl is the one who will run this country, and not their son, Jacobe I believe, who is said to be an adept fighter. He no doubt trained under his father.

Had he been the one to succeed the throne, I know he would change things for the better. The reason I'm getting this close to the castle is that wretched Queen's fault. If a man had been in charge, their training would have been stricter and they would put up a good fight.

This brings me to the soldiers' mission. He is to kill the queen while she is in labor. If he gets there and the baby is already born, he is to kill everyone in the room and take her to Junquida. With their heir gone, they'll have no choice but to surrender and do what I say.

Then I'll take this land and give it to my newborn son, who was also born today. He will grow to become a ruthless leader, just like me. Then this country will be worth mentioning.
