Jacobe POV
When our swords struck, the whole forest shook from our power.
"Heh, seems like you were holding back some power before. I bet you thought we were an easy kill so you wouldn't need all your power. Especially with your two other friends. Am I right?" I asked.
When the only reply I received was another strike of his sword, I couldn't help but smirk.
I easily deflected the sword and got close enough to him to land a blow to his stomach. Since he was wearing a chest plate, I pulled some strength from the earth. The punch was so hard, that his chest plate shattered and he coughed up blood.
What I loved was that even though I had him coughing up blood, he was already attacking me. Being this close to him, I wouldn't be able to dodge fully, but I still shifted to the side.
I felt an explosion of pain in my stomach. Looking down I see he had a hidden dagger. Luckily I moved when I did or I'm sure I would be dead right now.
I look up to see his face, and his eyes are shining with pure hatred and a scowl on his face.
"You know, I was excited when I was tasked to eliminate both you and that stupid baby. But now that it's about to be over, I'm just disappointed and upset that I wasted my time," Scott said while pushing the dagger further into my stomach.
I grimace at the pain, but it's not unbearable or painful enough to cry out. He looks at the pained expression on my face and smiles.
Bringing himself closer, he whispers in my ear, "After I finish you, I will take the little brat back to King Dezmond."
Immediately my body tensed up and he chuckled before continuing.
"Once he has her, she will be locked up until she is old enough to die for the sins of her predecessors. However, he did not specify if she had to be brought to him in 1 piece." Scott felt my body tremble and he started laughing.
My mind went blank with the threat to Elnora's life. I started to move automatically. I let go of my sword and Scott laughed harder thinking I dropped it from fear. However, at this moment I knew no fear.
My eyes blazed brightly, and my body was engulfed in flames.
"AAHH!" Scott yelled as he was burned from where he held me. Before he could pull away my left hand went up to his neck so fast, that he didn't realize I had moved until he was being choked. He tried to scream as I was burning him with my hand, but I gripped his neck tight, effectively choking him.
Just him being alive made me angrier and my flames blazed in response. He was burning alive in my hands, but he was dying too slowly. With my right hand, I reached for the dagger that was protruding from my stomach, but it had melted from the heat of the flames.
That didn't matter. I held my right hand out to the side and rocks were merging with my hand. My hand kept growing larger and larger until it was the size of a mini boulder.
Then I smashed it into Scott's face. I hit him so hard that he flew out of my grip. Before he could fall, I had the earth launch me directly over him. I punched him into the ground so hard he bounced back up. He had blood dripping down his face and was coughing it up.
Seeing that he was still alive angered me more. The boulder in my hand ignited and I used it to pulverize him into the ground. I did not stop. I could not stop. I did not want to stop. He threatened my precious baby sister! He deserved this and more.
As I was about to cover him in flames, I heard a baby's cry. Elnora's cry. I immediately stopped what I was doing and searched for her. My mind cleared and my anger was replaced with worry.
Then I spotted Colbolt. They were close to me. So Elnora must have felt the heat of my flames! I left Scott, who was dead and ran over to them. What I saw froze me in my tracks.
