*The darker haired alchemist rubbed her tear soaked face with her wrist. She didn't want to move away from Akira. She felt safe with her, even if she was only trying to get rid of the disease. This was the safest she had ever felt with a person; so, at the moment, she didn't mind.*
The woman shifted them to the side to make their position more comfortable on the floor. She pushed her against her chest giving her head a soft kiss. Her voice started speaking low but breaking multiple times as she has reached her emotional limit. "P-please...d-don.. don't..l-leAVE ME!!" Actual tears now ran down her face. It was too much everything started crumbling, her facade, the sly smirk and emotional wall. She hugged onto the woman now loudly crying like a child. It felt like that moment again, when she was a helpless child that could only watch her loved one die in her arms.
*Zatsu looked up at the alchemist she was laying against. Her heart shattered as she watched Akira breakdown so easily. She wished there was something she could've done, but there wasn't much she could do except for comforting her. So, carefully, the darker haired alchemist cupped Akira's cheeks. She turned her head up to face her, gently using her thumb to brush her tears away.* "Hey, it's okay. I'm not going anywhere yet!" *She spoke softly, trying to reassure the sobbing woman. Zatsu planted a soft kiss on Akira's forehead as she kept her hands in the alchemist's cheeks.*
"YOU'RE LYING!!" She yelled squeezing the woman close to her. She buried her head in the woman's shoulder. "You're dying....at an alarming speed..." Her words were barely above a whisper as she cried into the shoulder while her hands shook slightly in fear.
*The alchemist felt herself frown as she laid her head against Akira's. Tears began to burn her eyes threateningly as she hugged Akira tightly, holding her as she as she could.* "I know. And I'm sorry, I truly am." *She whispered, massaging the woman's scalp as her voice cracked.*
Akira gave a small yell "But wHY?!" She punched the ground. "I DID everything RIGHT." She sniffled as her tears now started to hurt in her eyes. "God damn!!!" She smacked the ground again.
*Zatsu lifted her head up.* "Hey...look at me." *She spoke softly as she caressed Akira's cheeks.* "It's going to be okay. I promise. I'm still alive now, and that's what matters. Okay?" *She kept her voice calm and reassuring as she caressed the alchemist's cheeks lovingly.*
The woman gave a whine as she moved down with her head now buried in the other's chest. The world it felt so cruel right now. Even if she was still alive now, death was coming for her and Akira didn't do a good job at preventing that. She felt horrible as she curled up against her.
*The darker haired alchemist ran her hand through the other's hair as she held her, trying to calm her. She didn't want this to end. All her life she had wanted death; she had awaited so patiently for death to embrace her. But now? Now she wasn't sure. She still felt alone, but, seeing how Akira was acting just at the thought of her death, she felt needed. For once she didn't feel like the burden she knew she was.*
The alchemist stayed like this for a few more minutes. She couldn't stop her crying but was glad that Zatsu brushed through her hair. Now she wanted nothing more than for her to stay. Her hands gripped onto the woman and pulled her head burying it into her chest smelling her calming scent. It was something new that she loved. The scent, the way it put her mind at ease and helped her relax. It was great.
*Zatsu's eyes landed on Akira as she adjusted her on her chest. She couldn't help but smile at the woman's child-like behavior. Honestly, the alchemist thought it was nothing but adorable. Leaning down, Zatsu kissed Akira's head softly as she played with her hair.*
The woman gave her as soft look up. Even if she lost all her cover and was acting like a pathetic child, she felt that she could trust the woman. She would take her secret to her grave...one way or another. She scooted a bit closer wanting more of her. She didn't know why but it made her feel safe and cared about. Something she usually doesn't feel since she always lived on the edge. But this, this was different. Like a calm lake in the winter.
