There's something special about poetry, something I can't quite put into words.
Poetry as a friend, as a way of expression, as a way of capturing life, it's all a beautiful way to share a perspective.
Poetry has been a shoulder to lean on for years now, he listens to me when I am still making sense of the words that leave my mouth,
He is always there for me, even when the nights grow dark and lonely, he is always willing to come by my house with a candle or two.
Poetry has been a way for me to express myself for much of my life,
May that be expressing my deepest sorrows or brightest days.
Not only that but poetry acts as a photo into the present and what will soon be the past,
It highlights moments passing in a way nothing else can quite capture.
Poetry is an art form that heals me unlike anything ever could.
