Shining moon
Poetry has a very special place on the book shelf,
There's the important things, the connections, the aspirations, and soon after there's poetry.
Poetry will always be important to me, even if I am the last man on earth, I will be a poet.
When someone sees what I write, when they recognize something so valuable to me, it makes me happy in a way I cannot explain.
My heart shines a little brighter when someone compliments something I have written,
Life becomes lovely every time I remember their words.
Come together
I feel in my heart that I am entering the best time in my life.
I can sense a weight off my chest, after years of struggle I am free.
The sky is shining and the rainbow is here, after what felt like an endless rain.
I pushed through difficulties and pulled myself through hard times for days like today.
In my fort
In my fort I can write poetry at the dead of night and enjoy my time spent in darkness.
In my fort I embrace the childhood I missed out on with cartoons and stuffed animals.
In my fort I find peace in moments of quiet and enjoy times of music.
In my fort I feel safer than I ever did anywhere else.
