A collection of poems I intend to rewrite towards the end of this book.
Life as of today
Life as of today is calm after the storm,
The rain was pouring so heavily I could not hear the sound of my heart attempting to tell me the answers to my questions in its beats.
Life as of today is spent within the walls of my fort, watching cartoons, and creating art,
The fires burned most of my home, but my fort remains safe.
Life as of today is relief and exhaustion because the pain of the past has moved it's way through me, but I know it likely will be back again.
Life as of today is being unsure if it's a sunset or a sunrise, but hoping the sun will shine brighly above me someday soon.In the days ahead
In the days ahead I hope I can look back on all my poems written in days of pain and honesty say I don't ache like I used to.
In the days ahead I hope I accept the truth, however that may look, whatever that may be.
In the days ahead I hope I feel at peace with myself and the world around me.
In the days ahead I hope I write many stories, entries and poems.
In the days ahead I hope I am proud of the man I am.Questions for tomorrow
Does the rain ever stop pouring?
Does the fog ever go away?
Do you ever believe in something above the clouds?
Do the days become more sunny?
Do the flowers in your garden bloom?
