I left the booth quickly and ran to the back.
"Caroline!" Klaus yelled following quickly behind grabbing my arm firmly to turn me around.
"What Klaus, why are you here ? I have alot going on and dont need anymore distractions." I Said harshly.
"So im a distraction now love" he proudly smiled. "I trust that to be a positive one." Walking towards me he leaned in to my ear and whispered " Allow me to take your mind off of things Caroline." Stepping back to peer into my eyes. His gaze was serious but sincere.

"Is that why you are here hmmmmm? To come and whisk me away with you" I said sarcastically.
"Well i hoped you would come willingly but if it requires force I'm not opposed to that either" he took my hand into his.
"Oh well look what Lucifer dragged in" Damon replied walking up behind Klaus.
"Pleased to see you too Damon" Klaus's tone annoyed for interrupting us.

"Dont mind me, Im just here to make sure CareBear doesn't try and rip your throat out."
"Perhaps she'd like to rip yours out for the invite." Klaus said his temper growing as he took a step towards Damon face to face.
"Um what? You invited him?! I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"I wouldn't say invite... more of a mentioned, plus you look like you could use some hybrid action in your life right about now." Damon said condescendingly.

Klaus was grinning at that remark, I could tell he liked the thought of that.
"All done Care?" Elena said walking up with Matt.
"Yea I just finished, does anyone want to tell me what's going on? None of you seemed surprised Klaus is here." I wanted answers and now.
"I dont want any part of this so Im going to be at the hot dog stand excuse me." Matt said.

Elena had a worried look on her face. "Klaus will you give us a second" she asked.
Throwing his hands up smiling "As you wish" making his way to the booth down the way.
"Care we know you have been having a difficult time and things have been hard." She explained
"Okay and?" I said with a confused look on my face.
"And ...." She continued hesitantly

"Oh let me do it" Damon demanded moving Elena to the side.
"Here's the deal Caroline, Tyler is off doing god knows what with who, soooo we thought to keep you company and preoccupied for the summer who better than the Big Bad Wolf? He practically worships the ground you walk on". He smirked.

"This is a joke right? Am I in the twilight zone or something." They had to be joking after everything he has done.
"Or you could stay in Mystic Falls miserable eating Veggie Pizza" Damon remarked. "The point is Caroline what do you have to lose?
Damon had a point, it would only be for the summer and could keep my mind off things.

"We will come for you Care if you want to come back home" Elena said with comforting eyes.
"Let me think about it, this was just thrown at me and I need time to process all this". I turned around to find Klaus standing right in front of me.
"Ready to go love"
"No I'm not I need a minute" as I walked off.

I needed a drink and not your average drink, I needed the good stuff.
"Caroline" Matt walked up " Look I have no idea what's going on but be careful. If it involves Klaus Mikaelson it's probably not good." He said with a stern look on his face.
"Its ok Matt, if anything was to happen at least I know I would be safe" I replied assuringly. Klaus was the Original Hybrid who was over 1,000 years old. He defeated every enemy he has ever faced.

"But thats just it Caroline, everything he touches he ruins. Anything that involves him only hurts others." Matt explained.
"I get where you're coming from Matt but when has anything ever been normal... Im a vampire for crying out loud." I exclaimed.
"My point exactly ." He stormed off .

Matt wasn't entirely wrong but we were all dealing with each others problems. From Katherine, The Original Family and even Damon when he first came to Mystic Falls. None of us were perfect. I then started to feel this overwhelming sense of guilt. When you're a vampire all your senses are heightened both good and bad. Had I judged Klaus to soon? I grabbed a glass of lemonade from one of the stands, hoping to quench my thirst since blood was not an option at the moment.

"Can I offer you a drink perhaps somewhere more private" Klaus said coyly.
I turned to face him and smiled "Sure why not, you're here might as well."
"After you" he gestured with his hand.

"Have fun kids!" Damon yelled.
I rolled my eyes and continued to walk side by side with Klaus. "So where are we going ?"
"Anywhere you'd like love..." his blue eyes fixated on me.
"Klaus I'm not doing this with you"... I joked.
"Doing what? I merely stated the obvious, when have I ever denied you anything Caroline." He stopped in front of me. "Come with me to New Orleans, there's so much I want to show you." He had a glimmer in his eye and smiled that devilish grin.

"Its not that simple Klaus, what am I going to tell my mom? Oh by the way I'm going to be vacationing with Klaus Mikaelson, yea the one that killed Jenna, Carol Lockwood, daggers his siblings, forced Stefan to go full on Ripper mode."
Klaus shaking his head with dissatisfaction. "Yet you forget all the exemplary things I've done, just cast aside like some harlot on the street. Haven't we all done terrible things Caroline?" He growled. "The only difference is I've just had 10 centuries worth of wrongdoings. I don't want to to spend the day quarreling. Tell your mother you decided to spend some time with a certain Bennett Witch" he proposed

He had a good idea. I could tell my mom that I was going to spend time with Bonnie.
"I'll see what I can do" I replied reluctantly.
"Thats my girl" he smiled.
I put my head down to see him pulling out something from his pocket.

"I purchased this for you at one of the booths I strolled upon while Elena was speaking with you." He pulled out a small box. "Open it"he replied eagerly.
I opened the box and in it was a silver horseshoe necklace.

"You said you liked horses..... and , I thought it would look perfect on you , do you like it? He questioned not sure how to read my reaction.
"Wow... um thank you .." I replied with shock. It wasn't an expensive piece of jewelry, it was something more meaningful. Something he remembered about me. I could feel myself get teary eyed, blinking to fight back the tears.

"Is everything ok love? If you dont like it I can compel her to exchange it." He said swiftly.
"No no Klaus I love it seriously, its perfect."
He smiled grabbing my hand "Let us go enjoy some spectacular food". As he pulled me in the direction towards a restaurant.
