I went downstairs with Klaus to where everyone was at. Klaus kept quiet but I couldn't hold back my smile, It was like a target right in the middle of my face.

"Is everything ok Care? You seem unusually happy.." Elena noticed.

I held out my hand to them "I'm engaged!"  Wiping my happy tears. 

Elena and Damon had this weird look on their face and Stefan seemed confused for a moment but they snapped out of it and walked over to congratulate me. A wedding would be a good distraction from this human mess.

"Klaus can I talk to you?" Stefan asked.  They walked over to the book shelf away from the others "Im happy for Caroline and yourself but I cant help but wonder if this proposal has anything to do with her being human now."

Klaus was amused that Stefan would even ask him that then he became serious. "I dont think you're in any position to question my motives mate, but ill indulge you...I was planning on asking Caroline. I acquired the ring and had wished it was under a different circumstance but I have no time to waste Stefan. Envision spending the rest of your immortal life with your one true love, then having that ripped away..... and theres nothing you can do about it." Klaus was staring Stefan down as he uttered those words.

He walked away agitated as Stefan just dropped his head.

"So whens the wedding?" Damon inquired

"August" Klaus said without hesitation.

"But thats next month..." I turned to him shocked.

"You have no budget love and Rebekah will compel your hearts desires." Klaus was always so confident and made sure I was happy.

I just looked at him "We can do August Klaus but I want a small wedding. Just you, our families and close friends." I smiled at him.

"Whatever you wish" he kissed me.

Klaus got a phone call from Jackson and excused himself from the group, I followed because I didn't have my vamp hearing anymore but wanted to know what was going on.

"Jackson, its late I trust this is of importance..." he stayed silent listening to him speak. His eyes lit up "You do? Keep him there I'm on my way." He hung up the phone and sped over to Elijah. I hated not having vampire powers anymore.

I walked over to them talking "What's going on?" I asked them.

"Jackson has Tyler, we're heading back to New Orleans." Klaus's face was content but angry. I quickly said goodbye to everyone and headed out with Elijah and Klaus.

Klaus didn't say much on the way back, he seemed like he was stuck in his head the whole time. I kept thinking what if he doesn't want to be with me? Or what if things weren't the same. I was worried he would look at me differently, his paranoia could just take over even more now.

We finally arrived to New Orleans and parked in front of the mansion. I was asleep in the backseat, this human thing was going to take some time to get use to again.  We walked in as Hayley was coming down the stairs with Hope in her arms.

I walked over excited to see her "She's adorable Hayley"

"Thanks she definitely takes after me." Hayley smiled as Klaus glared over at her.

"Caroline stay here, Elijah and I are going to pay a visit to the Bayou."

"Ok" I said , now was not the time to pick a fight about wanting to go with him.

"Why are you going to the Bayou?" Hayley asked.

"To take out the trash" Klaus's eyes glimmered as he left out the front door.
