I dialed Josh's number "Hey so we are going to leave at 4:30 meet me down the road after the gate by the stop sign to pick me up."
"What time is Klaus suppose to show up? He asked
"6:00 but I want to be there early so that way we arent running into them and we will be out of sight."
"If Im being totally honest Caroline this sounds terrible." He groaned.
"It will be fine don't worry." I replied.
"Okay ... ill see you at 4:30." As he hung up the phone.
I got ready pulled my hair inside a ball cap to try and hide my blonde hair. I locked the door from the inside and snuck out the window so no one would see me. I made my way past the front and over the gate to the end of the road and there was Josh waiting.
I got in and looked at him, "Why do you look like you're gonna rob a bank?" I laughed
"Very funny Im in all black incase its my funeral today." He said nervously
We headed toward Gillispies to park near an Ice cream shop that was near by till Klaus and Genevieve arrived. Genevieve shouldn't be familiar with me so I wasn't to worried about her seeing me.
"You want some ice cream while we wait?" Josh asked.
"Sure" I smiled at him. "Chocolate chip cookie dough please."
He made his way inside and after some time came back.
"Thanks." As he handed me my ice cream. "So how long have you been a vampire?" I asked him .
"Not long at all, total newbie." He leaned his seat back. "You" he asked
"Same not long at all." I sighed.
"And you chose the oldest vampire alive." He teased.
"He doesnt look his age." I joked back. "What about you? Anyone catching your eye..."
"As a matter of fact yeah... if I tell you though you cant tell anyone till the Wolf/Vamp alliance becomes solidified." He seemed worried.
"Ok you can tell me." I assured him wanting to make him feel comfortable.
"His name is Aiden hes a werewolf, we've been sneaking around since the wolves and vampires havent been on the best of terms." He looked sad and I felt bad for him.... Having to hide his love for someone.
"Ill help you josh, we will bring them together and that way you dont have to sneak around or hide your relationship. Klaus and Hayley will help also," I promised him.
Our conversation was cut short when we saw a red headed woman arrive outside Gillispies. She was beautiful, and had a strong confidence about her.
"Thats Genevieve." Josh said slumping down.
"Ok its our time to move." I signaled. We walked over toward an area where there were shrubs and bushes. Genevieve was sitting outside on some tables, maybe 15 min later Klaus arrived and took a seat. I used my vamp hearing to listen in on their conversation.
"Enough with the games Genevieve ... what is it that you want." Klaus fumed.
She chuckled sitting back, "That's no way to speak to a lady Nik."
"You are far from, if you continue these threats on my family I will make you and every soul pay." His anger quietly stirring.
"The ancestors need your child, as an offering made long ago by your mother, that was the deal when she created you, first born will belong to them. Its a transfer of power, you have two options... hand over your child, and leave New Orleans forever or you all die. It doesnt have to be personal." She smiled
