I'll Never Forget You

Jackson came out to take us to where they were keeping Tyler. I don't know why I was nervous, maybe because this was someone I once cared about... or maybe I just needed to say so much.

We walked down to this underground tunnel that was dark and murky that led to a chamber. There I saw Josh ,Marcel and kneeling down next to them in chains was Tyler. He must have been drained of blood and pumped with a ton of wolfsbane because he looked terrible. Blood was all over and he wasn't healing normally.

Klaus walked up to him tapping him with his foot roughly "Rise and shine, you have a visitor." He said.

Tyler looked up slowly and his expression changed to one of surprise "Caroline?" He whispered weakly.

I looked over at Klaus and the guys "Leave us please." Trying not to get emotional.

Klaus walked away but stopped to look back at me one last time before he exited.

I knelt down and picked up his face "I came here to tell you I forgive you, I dont want to harbor any hatred now that my life has been cut short."

"Care, I just.... I couldn't let him live out forever with you." I could barely hear him his tone was low.

"So you hurt me in the process Tyler? Its always been like this with you.... You could have walked away now look, your revenge has consumed you to the point that you would hurt someone you cared about all because of him!"

"I never wanted to hurt you Caroline but if I wanted to get to him the only way was through you or his kid, that's all he cares about. Call me selfish but I didn't want him to get everything he wanted while he took everything from me. Just have him end it already." His breathing was shallow.

I felt sorry for him, maybe this is why Klaus didn't want me to talk with him.

I heard footsteps coming into the tunnel getting closer, it was Klaus. "Thats enough.." he spoke sternly.

"Im not done yet." I turned toward him giving him a look.

"Caroline I said enough." As he took a couple steps closer growing impatient with me.

I stood my ground stepping toward him "I said Im not done"

Klaus clenched his jaw then grabbed Tylers face firmly "I'm going to enjoy every moment of your agony and demise once she's done here." I swallowed hard as he tossed Tylers face looking at me before he vamp sped out.

"I guess this is goodbye Tyler, I'm going to live out the rest of my natural life with no regrets and with Klaus. So thank you because now I can appreciate each and every moment I get to spend with him." I wiped a tear from my eye.

Tyler smiled slightly "If you say so Care."

"What's that suppose to mean?" I questioned.

"You'll see soon enough." He replied

Klaus walked in again looking at me to see if I was finished, I turned my attention to Tyler then walked past Klaus "He's all yours." As Klaus grinned from ear to ear.

I went to the car and sat inside, Josh followed me and began to open the front door. "You ok Caroline?" Josh was such a great friend to me.

I shook my head "No not really, I'm tired of pretending like this doesn't bother me when it clearly does."

"What bothers you? The whole Tyler thing....? Because if so the douchebag deserves it."

Josh was so protective over me now. We had grown so close over the summer.

"Yes and no but mostly just being human... I'm going to be old and Klaus isn't going to age, why would he stay with me?"

Josh sighed and put his hand on my leg "Because he loves you Caroline, he would literally do anything for you."
