It was after Thanksgiving and the city was going to be flooded with tourists and towns people celebrating The Festival of the Dead. People from all over come and leave a photo of their loved ones on a huge mural thats said to be a portal for the day. The Festival of the Dead is to honor their memory, celebrate their life and allow a gateway to pass freely if they wanted.

We were all going to go and hangout walking the street.

"Wheres Kol?" Klaus asked.

"Probably where he's always at ... with Davina." I teased. "So I bought a blue rattle to place near the mural...I was thinking we could honor Henrik..." I said sadly.

Klaus dipped his head down in guilt then looked at me "I think it's exactly what we should do." Kissing my hand.

"I have a picture of Josh and Aiden I wanted to put up also." I added.

"As you should love, I know Joshua had a special place in your heart... get dressed and we will head out then."

I ran and put on dark colored blue jeans with a white tank top and a black jacket jacket. I slipped on my little ankle boots and found my favorite burgundy scarf.

I skipped downstairs and saw Stefan and Damon with Elena, and Rebekah and Kai next to the door.

"Is this everyone thats going?" I asked

"Well Elijah is staying with Hayley as well as Vincent and Bonnie. Hayley didn't want to bring the baby out." Rebekah said.

"Oh ok well lets go then." I smiled

Klaus opened the door for myself and the others as we all went to our vehicles. I guess Cami was meeting Stefan and Marcel was heading that way also.

The streets were loaded with people , it was hard to walk around in some areas. I looked at the mural wall full of pictures others had left earlier. Mothers, fathers, friends, siblings... it really started to make me sad.

Klaus came up to on the side of me shoulder to shoulder and grabbed my hand gently to hold. I glanced over at him and forced a smile when I just really wanted to leave.

"You doing ok Care?" Elena asked walking up. She always knew when I wasnt feeling my best or if I was hiding something.

"No..." I lowered my head "I thought I was ready but its still really hard Elena."

"You have every right to no be ok, you have been through so much."

I smiled one sided we all turned to look at the mural wall. The rattle and pictures were surrounded by loved ones who had been lost, apart of me felt some comfort knowing Henrik, Josh and Aiden weren't alone.

Klaus and I walked the sidewalk staring at all the pictures as he explained The Festival of The Dead to me in depth.

"Klaus.." I grabbed him and became on edge. "It's Genevieve."

He spun around fast as she smiled mischievously walking over. "Funny seeing you still here alive, I thought I'd find you here on this wall." She directed her comment toward me.

"You're brave coming out here in the open." Klaus replied angry.

"I knew you wouldn't make a scene in front of all these people given the occasion and all." She mocked. "Plus you haven't seen the best part.... There's a lovely little memorial just around that corner." She skipped off into the crowd and disappeared.

"What does she mean by that?" I held on to Klaus unsure what was going to happen next.

"I haven't a clue, but I'm not going to allow her to parade around taunting my family."

We walked around the corner to see what Genevieve was talking about, Klaus called Rebekah to get to the corner fast . We all walked up together to the wall trying to figure out exactly what she was talking about and then there it was. In the center of a couple of pictures was a picture of Davina and Kol. I recognized the picture because it was the one he carried in his car.

"Why are Kol and Davina up there Nik?" Rebekah argued.

Klaus stayed quiet and pulled out his phone dialing both Kol and Davina but there was no answer. Rebekah began to cry in Kai's arms as he tried to offer her some sort of comfort.

I saw Klaus's face and could tell he was about to explode. "Klaus." I tried pulling him but he walked off tossing my hand off his.

He dialed rapidly then placed his phone to his ear "I don't know what kind of riddles you're playing Genevieve but you better start speaking now before I rip your tongue from your throat."

"It's pretty self explanatory Nik, you're a smart man... I'm sure you can figure it out." She chuckled.

"You killed my brother and Davina..." His tone was scary as he paced back and forth enraged.

"Well I didn't personally." She finished.

"Mark my words Jezebel if the allegations you speak ring true, start digging your grave." He hung up and called Elijah.

I could see how visibly upset he was as was I, Kai took Rebekah home who was a mess of tears.

"Klaus let's go home." Tugging at his hand.

"Home to what Caroline!" He yelled. "My brother and Davina are dead.. Who's next? Elijah? Rebekah? You again?"

I turned away hurt but I knew his frustration was toward the witches and not me. I ran into his arms hugging him as hard as I could. I wanted him to know I was here for him and on his side, I could feel the tension in his body quickly fade away as he softened into my arms.

He had just lost apart of his family and Davina. I decided to drive us home to the mansion so he could gather his thoughts.

When we arrived Elijah came out of the mansion doors "Is it true Niklaus."

Klaus shook his head yes "We are waging war, its not just about my daughter but this entire family!" Klaus pointed at all of us. "Who is next? I will not standby by any longer Elijah even at your request to keep the peace to those who wish to harm our family! An attack on one is an attack on all of us!"

"Im in..." Stefan stepped forward as Damon rolled his eyes following suit with his brother.

"Im in too I guess. Can't have baby bro here having all the fun." Damon smirked.

Bonnie and Vincent looked at each other and walked forward , Elena grabbed my hand and nodded to say she was in to help also. Every single one of us were ready to end it all, we knew there was going to be some that didn't make it out possibly. It terrified me at the thought of losing anyone else, we all glanced around thinking will this be the last time we were all together?
