I'll Never Forget You

BIRTHDAY

Months went by without a word or anything from the witches. Hope was already almost 4 months and I was a couple months pregnant. It was my birthday today, another year around the sun. I guess this meant I was officially 18 now since since I couldn't age when I was a vampire.

Everyone still lived at the Mikaelson mansion, Rebekah was still seeing Kai every chance she could get, and Bonnie and Marcel were starting to get cozy or so it seemed.

I walked out of the bedroom downstairs when everyone jumped out "SURPRISE!!!!" They yelled.

I was startled but so happy they gave me a surprise breakfast party. There was a gift table, a cake and balloons with the numbers 1 and 8.

"You guuuuyyys." I said shyly.

Klaus came up and gave me a kiss on my cheek "Happy Birthday Caroline." He whispered handing me a drink of orange juice that wreaked of champagne.

"Is this orange juice?" Smelling it trying not to gag.

"Its a mimosa, why?" Klaus asked.

"No reason." I smiled nervously.

He still had no idea but I planned on telling him soon.

Bonnie ran up and hugged me wildly "You're officially 18!" She giggled. "Now I got you something and I wanted you to open it now." She handed over a box as I took it from her hand.

I opened it slowly and saw a necklace, "It's beautiful." I said.

"Its a protection necklace, Vincent and I created a spell to protect you since you're human."

My eyes watered as I threw myself onto her.

"It will only work once though Caroline." She sighed.

"That's ok Bonnie it's the best gift ever, thank you." I put the necklace on and smiled.

We ate and laughed, Klaus bought me this amazing looking cake that was white with baby pink accents. They sang me happy birthday as the candle flames danced in my eyes. I looked around at how truly blessed I was, I had friends, family and a husband that loved me.

I closed my eyes to make a wish, then blew them out. Rebekah cut the cake as I opened presents. All the gifts were incredible and I felt so special.

Klaus snuck up behind me wrapping his arms around me "Follow me ." He said.

"Where are we going? Isn't it a little to early for this?" I laughed.

"Close your eyes." He took my hand and gently led me outside to the back of the mansion.

We stopped after awhile, I forgot how many acres they actually owned.

He leaned into my ear "Open your eyes."

I slowly opened them and saw the most beautiful Clydesdale horse inside a wooden fenced area.

"It's all yours." He smiled

"Your bought it for me..?" I turned to look at him my face about to burst into happy tears.

He looked straight into my eyes and smirked that mischievous grin.

I kissed him all over and ran over to the area where the horse was.

He followed behind standing next me "What are you going to name him?" Klaus asked.

I stared at the horse petting it admiring how beautiful its coat was "A.J." I replied getting choked up.

Klaus looked at me perplexed by my choice. "And do I want to ask why?"

"For Aiden and Josh." I softly spoke as a tear streamed down my cheek. I wiped it quickly not wanting to put a damper on the celebration.

Klaus put his head down then pulled me in close to him. This was the best birthday ever, He was just amazing.  He knew how to love me, care for me and just made me feel seen. He was everything I could ever ask for in someone and I couldn't wait to tell him we were going to be have a family of our own.

After we headed back inside Vincent made his way over toward me. "You want to find out what you're having?" He quietly said.

"Can I?" I asked excited.

He laughed and nodded yes. "Lets find a room"

He led the way to the library room "We have to do this quickly, Klaus will be looking for you."

"Ok I'm ready." I was anxious and happy as Vincent put both hands on my stomach and quietly recited words in another language. It took maybe about a minute and he stopped.

"Can you tell what it is?" My eyes almost coming out of my head with excitement.

"Its a boy, Witch and Werewolf." He grinned.

I covered my mouth trying not to scream and had the biggest smile ever.

"You should tell him Caroline, I'm sure he will be happy."

"I will I promise." We both walked out as I ran to Hayley and dragged her to a corner.

"I know what I'm having"

Her eyes lit up "What?"

"A boy!" I squealed internally. "Part witch part wolf."

"That's great!" She hugged me "Now you have to pick a name and don't let Klaus name him ." She teased.

I thought and said "I have the perfect name and Im hoping he will love it....Henrik."

Hayley beamed ear to ear "I think its a great name and I know he will say yes to it."

Henrik was Klaus youngest brother who died in a tragic attack that devastated Klaus. He blamed himself for his death, I figured this would be a way for Henriks name to live on even though his life was cut so short.

Vincent was heading out to the quarter with Kai to go pick up somethings and then they would be back. Josh was talking with Marcel and Davina , I wandered over to them and asked Josh if I could talk with him.

"Whats up Caroline, having fun?"

"I am this birthday has definitely been more than I could imagine."

"Im glad." He replied.

"Josh you're my best-friend and I want to tell you something... I'm pregnant."

Josh's mouth dropped to the floor as he looked at my stomach "Really! Thats awesome!" He hugged me twirling me around. "How long?"

"Just a couple months but its a boy, Klaus doesn't know know yet but I'm going to surprise him soon."

My phone rang  and I excused myself to see who was calling "Hi mom" I walked toward the library away from the noise to hear her better.

"Happy birthday sweetie."

"Thanks mom, I miss you."

"I miss you too honey how are you feeling?" She asked.

I had told my mom about the whole human ordeal before my wedding and she worried a lot.

"Im good mom, I have something to tell you." I said over the phone.

"Okayyy." She replied nervous. She never knew what to expect when I said that.

"You're going to have a grandson."

"Really..." I could tell she was about to cry.

"But dont tell anyone yet Klaus doesnt know I'm going to surprise him."

"Im so happy for your Caroline."

We talked about everything, catching up when I heard this loud crashing from around the mansion.

"Mom let me call you back." I hung up and heard a bunch of commotion coming from downstairs.

I walked out fast to see Elijah fighting a vampire as well as Hayley fighting off one too. I ran to the edge of the banister and saw Klaus battling it out with 3 more. What was going on....

"Caroline!!! Run!" Hayley screamed.
