Sipping a cup of coffee, gazing out of the café's window, he tried to form an answer to Felix's question. However he tried, he simply couldn't.

"I'm asking again, Nathan. You like her, don't you?"

"Look, don't be mad. I don't know. I'm being really honest with you right now. I had been perceiving her as an enemy ever since I was basically born. I did have those moments of admiration for her when I felt she was really pretty, was a good human being and was an amazing businesswoman. But then, she suddenly kisses me. It wasn't even a kiss! Just a little peck! And it made me feel things? Now I suddenly don't know what to think anymore."

Felix could do nothing but let out a small and sad sigh at the long rant of the boy. He understood where it was coming from but he would really want his best friend to be clear with what he felt.

"Okay, I get it. But now that you've come to terms with reality, just try to think about it more. Come to terms with your feelings and don't avoid them.

Or I'll set you up with the girl from that party." Felix smirked towards the end, earning an eye roll from the boy.

"She has a name."

"Why are you so pressed? I thought it was just a dare?" Felix wiggled his eyebrows playfully, knowing very well it was bothering Nathaniel.

"It was. And it remains so."

"No but on a serious note, are you even gonna talk to Ambrose about this? You look like a total hopeless romantic to me." Felix added again, not very confident in the confused boy.

"Who? Me? She is! I'm definitely romantic." He spoke proudly, sipping his coffee as an end statement.

"Right. Explains why you've had no actual girlfriend yet."

"Hey, shut up! It's mostly because I'm a lot busier than they expect and they don't seem to like it."

"And also because you were never really interested in them." Felix added, as if it were the most important fact of the situation.

"Right, that too."

Felix shook his head at his best friend of nine years. He knew very well what was going on in his head. It simply awaited the right time.

Ambrose was walking out of her office around evening. It had got a lot darker and all she wanted was to get back quick and lay down on her bed and drift off to sleep that instant after being exhausted.

The moment she had made her way out, she felt the gaze of a familiar face on her. It went on for a few seconds as the guy stared at her with a small smile. She thought she was mistaken at first. However, when she looked around to find no one around, it became pretty obvious that the guy's look was directed at her.

When he noticed her confusion, he simply waved at her to gather her attention. Ambrose was now sure. He stood on the other side of the road as he watched her cross the pathway and run over to him.

Once they stood before each other, Ambrose stood there with pure shock written all over her face.

"Noah?"

"Hey, Ambrose. How've you been?" He asked with a little genuine smile, totally catching her off guard. To say she was surprised, would be an understatement.

The man had grown up quite a lot since the last time she saw him, looking more handsome and mature this time around. She could see some flashes of Nathaniel and his parents constructing his facial structure.
