~
After a heartfelt reunion and lots of catching up, Nathaniel sent him off at the airport. He was really glad that he got to meet Noah in such a long time, looking all happy and satisfied in life. After a long walk back to the parking area, he sat himself down on the driver's seat of the luxurious car he owned and went deep into his thoughts. This day had unexpectedly turned out to be one of the happiest days lately. He woke up after a good sleep and met Noah. It all sounded like a dream to him.
All thanks to one person.
He had to thank her no matter what, considering that he simply left off with a goodbye promising her that he would surely thank her better once he sends his brother off. Now that it was done, it was time to show her his gratefulness.
He was thinking how he could do so, unmoving on his seat. He had never undergone such a situation ever before so he didn't really know what exactly was to be done. Working based off his instinct, he quickly drove off to the young CEO's company building. His head was empty, close to no thoughts due to his happiness.
Soon making it there, he quickly wore the mask he had taken off on seeing his brother a few hours ago. Still in the parking lot, he called up Ambrose. He always felt that her number he had been having for a while was useless since they had nothing to talk about but he was glad he didn't delete it back then.
"Why are you calling me?" Was the first thing he heard once the call was answered.
"Wow, what a way to start our first phone call!" He uttered with an amused grin plastered on his face.
"I don't have time for your shit. What do you want?" Her annoyed tone was quite evident in the way her voice was structured. The background noises quite evidently proved that she was flipping through some papers.
"Smuggling myself into your office, Ms. Bechtel. Try to stop me if you can." He hung up the call, not waiting for her response. A tiny smirk formed onto his face as he quickly got out of his car and walked inside.
The security and most of the other people had seen him earlier so they didn't question a lot. His entire being looked so different in the dark clothes and the black mask so it wasn't a concern to be recognised by someone.
Ambrose was too stunned to comprehend when she heard him. There was no way. She went over to look down through the large glass pane in her office where she could actually make out a figure similar to his walking in.
This boy was literally crazy. What was he even coming for again? She had no idea. Anxiously and unknowingly, she walked back and forth in her office, not knowing what to do. There was no point in going out and sending him away. All she could do was wait until the boy got here safe and sound or the screeching noise of the siren resounded.
At one point she had almost started to pray to God for his save arrival. There was no obstacle right now; her dad was home by now and the employees were busy working. The only problem was the security. She just hoped he could get past it.
Nathaniel on the other end was doing quite okay. He had passed through 3 security checks with his 'I have an allergic problem to my face, I can't take this mask off. But I need to go to Ms. Bechtel since I have some work. You saw me in the morning, right?'
Sounds absurd, right? But they seemed to buy it. Unlike one of them. The guy stood at the door of the young CEO's office, he wasn't there in the morning. Probably late to work?
"I'm sorry, sir. I can't send you."
It was the third time he was saying that, trying his very best to be polite not lose his cool. Nathaniel rolled his eyes, he knew he couldn't win the stubborn guy. He was glad that the security at her door was quite efficient in their work but that was honestly irksome to him at the moment.
