~
Nathaniel knew it wasn't his place to feel mad or upset about anything. However, he simply couldn't keep it in when he read the news about the 'Bechtel Group's CEO' and her supposedly amazing lecture on energy conservation in a university.
Like literally what the actual fuck?
She had made into some well appreciated articles of some renowned newspapers. Well, kudos to her!
He put his phone away harshly and obviously, the one sitting across him noticed the sudden drain in his mood.
"What is it, Nathan?" Madison asked him with slight worry etching her pretty face.
Madison Campbell was a beautiful girl to say the least. Intelligent and funny, she had all the good traits one thinks of as ideal. Felix and she shared an amazing time during the time of their education and soon realising their fondness for each other, got together in a relationship. Seemingly, the decision wasn't bad at all since the two had the most wondrous and peaceful life Nathaniel had ever seen.
Madison and Nathaniel were currently waiting for the third one to arrive when a certain news degraded his mood.
"I don't know, Maddy. It's her again, giving stupid lectures to university students to make it to the news. Gosh, why is it that everything done by her always ends up being so fucking annoying?" He vented out, gaze finally meeting Madison's playful one.
"You're just obsessed with everything she does." She spoke as a matter of fact and shrugged her shoulders, making herself more comfortable on the couch. Yes, it was her house they were meeting at.
Quite strange at the first glace but considering the fact that Felix had a disrupting roommate and Nathaniel's dad didn't really fancy seeing the boy have his friends over, it was always Madison's spacious and beautiful apartment.
"Actually, I think you're right. I am indeed very obsessed with what she does and it irks the fuck out of me." Without letting the younger girl reply to him, the doorbell rang.
She hurriedly walked up to the door and engulfed Felix in a warm bear hug the moment the door opened up. He hugged her back and ruffled her hair, widely smiling at his girlfriend's giddy nature after having seen him.
"Stop with the couple-y things, I'm literally sitting here." Nathaniel interrupted, rolling his eyes at the two.
"Oh right," Felix spoke, walking up to the boy and plopping down next to him on the wide couch while Madison followed close by.
"How could I forget the forever loner? What's up, my dude?" He asked, throwing an arm across his shoulder. It was always like this. Somehow, the moment he entered the scene, things always got merrier and somewhat positive.
"Nothing."
"Oh come on, you literally called us on conference at fucking 10 at night, asking to meet up. Something is definitely up, what is it?" Madison interrupted, sitting next to Nathaniel. The current position making the boy seated between the couple.
"It happened again."
The words came out almost as a whisper, his gaze directing to the ground with a disheartened look. Felix and Madison's faces grew worried and eyes turned wider as they passed each other a tensed look before redirecting their focus to the disturbed boy.
"You mean...?"
"Yes." He answered Felix, knowing what he wanted to ask.
"When I was trying to fall asleep. I really thought I was all better now. Why again? I just don't get it." The distressed boy buried his face in his palms, not knowing how to explain what he felt.
