Regulus has had a few more little freak outs about us since the first one. I always find a way to calm him down and remind him that I don't want to be with Lily. I want to be with him. In whatever way we can be right now. 

This time feels a little different. He's not freaking out about Lily or any other girl. I haven't seen the girls all day. 

He's looking at me with those eyes, and I swear to Merlin if he doesn't stop, I'm going to have to kiss him. I don't think I can help it. 

He seems freaked out but at the same time, he doesn't. I can tell something is bothering me but he's looking at me with those pretty eyes and it's like he wants to kiss me. I don't think I've ever been this confused. 

"What is going on in that head of yours?" I decide to ask him. I won't be able to stop thinking about it until he says whatever he has to say. 

Reg smiles at me and my heart does a little flip. 

"Nothing, I'm just thinking about you- and me. Us." 

"Yeah?" 

"I've been thinking about us a lot the past couple of weeks," Regulus admits to me. "We can't tell anyone because it's too dangerous... but maybe we can.."

"What?" I ask, trying to keep it cool.. I don't think it's working because he's smiling at me. 

"I was thinking- if you want to anyway- I don't actually know if you'd want to... but only if you did..."

"Reg, spit it out." I say to him. 

"Would you maybe want to be officially with me?" he asks timidly. 

"You mean like be your official boyfriend?" I ask him. He blushes some more and I nearly kiss him right there.

"Only if you want to," he says. 

"Reg," I breathe. "I- I'm sort of offended that you even have to ask. Of course I want you to be mine." 

Regulus smiles softly and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen. If Sirius saw me acting this way over someone, I'd never live it down. In fact, I have yet to when I acted this way over Lily. It's more than it was with Lily though. This is real. He likes me back. 

"Does that mean I can kiss you?" I ask him. I didn't mean to ask.. it kind of just came out.. but I really do want to kiss him.

"Yes," he replies. I take a step forward and he's looking a little more serious now. 

I lean forward and connect our lips. At first it was soft and gentle, and then Regulus wraps his arms around me and the kiss changed. It became something we both needed. We were both longing for it and it was finally happening. 

He pulls away first, but there's no worry or fear on his face. There's a smile. My favourite sight. 

"Let me take you on a date," I say to  him. I know we can't really go out in public, and I'm okay with that. We can still have dates. 

"James-" Regulus begins, probably thinking that he's made a mistake. That I don't get it. But I do.

"I know we can't actually go out together, Regulus. I mean, let me plan us a date here. Let me at least plan you a special night."

I can see him thinking about it, which is a good sign. If he didn't want to do it, he would've just said yes.

"I don't want you to... resent me because we have to keep this a secret." Regulus says sadly. 

"I want to keep it a secret too, Regulus. If we tell people, they will only poison this. It's ours right now but the moment we let people in, it gets..."

"Complicated," Regulus says.

"Yes, and like it's not for us anymore. Other people's feelings get in the way."

"So we both want to keep it a secret?" He asks me. 

"Yes, there will be no resentment." 

"In that case," he says as he takes a step closer to me and connects our lips again. This time it was a lot softer. "Please do plan us a wonderful night. I would love that." 

"Yeah?" I ask with a smile. 

"Yes please. I've- I've never been on a real date before." he admits to me. 

"Then I'll make this your best first date you could ever have." 

"I can't wait."

The boys and I were trying to come up with a new prank that we can do because we haven't done one in a long time. Mostly because we're all busy. Between school and new relationships, we've neglected our pranks. 

Peter is demanding we all come up with something we can do soon because he's bored. Even though it's Peter's idea, I think Sirius is the most excited about it. 

He has a million ideas too. 

Dye Snape's hair.

Let something creepy go in the Hufflepuff common room. Like a spider or a salamander. 

Put something in someones food before they eat it. Like too much salt or something. 

Honestly, he has a lot of great ideas, and maybe if we were all focused on the plan, we'd come up with something... My mind is on the date I'm planning for Regulus and I. I have a few ideas but I'm not sure what's the best idea for a first date. And his first date ever. 

I want it to be perfect for him. A happy memory. 

"Okay, what is going on with you James? You're not even listening." I hear Sirius mumble and I can tell he's annoyed.

"Sorry, I- sorry." 

"What's got you so distracted?" Remus asks me. He doesn't seem as annoyed as Sirius is right now.

"I- what's a good idea for a first date...? But like a secret first date?" I ask them. If I can get this out of the way, I can focus on the pranks with them.

"Movies!" Peter says excitedly. "That's always a good one. You can hide in the dark and no one will know you're there. Plus, it's always fun to watch movies with people." 

A movie. 

"That's a pretty good idea, Pete." I say to him and he smiles proudly. 

"But can you guys even go to the movies? I mean- they don't want to be caught? Right?" Sirius asks me.

"I guess- I could always come up with something else-"

"Or you could set up a little movie wherever you guys spend your time." Remus suggests, "You could use your magic and make the movie play on the wall or something." 

"That- yeah that's smart." 

"And put candles and comfy blankets." Peter adds. 

"Thanks guys- I.. okay now I can focus on the pranks." I tell them, but of course I couldn't. I have so many ideas for this date and I can't wait to see his reaction.
