I S A B E L L A
I sat in the uncomfortable trolly, my legs dangling out on the end as Lucy pushed me on the slippery floors of the grocery store.
The trolly was full of unhealthy food, but Lucy vowed to make this the best sleepover, and that included all of this food that will probably result in us having diabetes.
Lucy stops the trolley and picks up a box shaped packaging "Ooo cotton candy grapes?" Her eyebrows rise in curiosity and she chucks the grapes into the trolly, right on my stomach.
"Would you stop throwing everything on me?" I whine, moving the plastic box of grapes off my stomach and dropping it in the empty space next to my hip.
"Not my fault your in the way." I can practically feel her smirking behind me as i look forward.
I ignore her and instead point at the whip cream sitting neatly on a shelf. "How can we forget freaking whip cream." Lucy gasps, immediately turning the trolly to the direction on the whip cream.
I feel the chilly air of the freezer brush my skin, and goosebumps form as Lucy picks up a bottle and once again chucks it in my lap.
I roll my eyes, pushing the cold whip cream of my stomach and into any empty space in the trolly. Which wasn't a lot. We have gotten food in this particularly large trolly that could last us days.
I wasn't sure how we would afford this, but Lucy insisted to pay and wouldn't let it go until i agreed. I couldn't shake off the guilt and embarrassment, i felt horrible about allowing Lucy to pay but deep down i knew i couldn't afford it.
I still was going to pay at least some of it, because eventually the guilt would eat away at me.
Once we drove past the freezers the cold air turned back to warm. When i saw the packet of oreo's i shifted from my seating position and onto my knees to reach for the packet. I almost fell out by the time i got it, and Lucy just stood there laughing at me not even helping in the slightest.
I grunted and dramatically sat back down in the trolly with the packet of oreo's in my hand.
In seconds Lucy began to push the trolley again, today was pretty empty and quiet in the store. Lucy pushed me to the crisps sections and we both picked out a few.
The trolley was slowly and slowly overflowing with food. But we weren't complaining.
"Should we get some food that isn't just sweets?" I ask, tilting my head back to look at her. She looks down before she speaks.
"Okay.." She paused, she looked like she was in deep thought. "How about pizza?"
I slightly pout my lips and nod, Lucy takes a sharp corner to the next isle almost sending me flying into all the food.
"Lucy! You almost gave me whiplash for god sake." I whisper shout at her, she giggles and ruffles my hair when the trolley is back to straight.
"Don't be dramatic Isabelly" She says, lifting herself up with her hands that gripped onto the trolly.
Isabelly?
Freak no.
"Never call me that again." I crossed my arms "And you try sitting in here and get thrown across the store." I argued.
