This morning, I woke up to the rain. But as soon as the sun rose, the sky cleared. And the air is fresh and pleasant to breathe.

The birds chirp a lot at this time of year. And since there are so many trees here, there are several of them. I don't even need to use an alarm clock. They do this work.

It's math class. Professor Hee-chul is at his desk. It looks like he's watching something because it's been a while since he looked at his laptop and didn't type anything.

The girls are focused on exercise. Chae won finished hers. She is focused on her yellow-covered lined notebook, holding back a slight smile as she draws. She told me she wants to go to Art university.

I've already finished my exercise, and I check the time on the laptop in the corner of the screen. There are 20 minutes left until the noon break.

I turn to the side to talk to Ji-hye. She types on her cell phone that is hidden inside the backpack on her lap.

''If you went out with Jeongyeon and I, you would have kissed a long time ago,'' Ji-hye whispers, and smiles like a devil.

She's really excited to help me... I don't know. She might be bored, that's why she insists so much. Her plan is to make me go out with her cousin.

''Kissing feels so good, unnie... It feels so good... and then...', she continues whispering and sighing. The problem with whispers is that they are more audible than murmurs.

I look to see if Chae won heard.

''I'm confused if I want this now. This will distract me from my studies,'' I whisper and take a deep breath.

''Idiot. Are you going to college a virgin?

I quickly glance at the blonde in front of me. Chae won bites the end of her pencil and looks at the blackboard that was never used by Hee-chul.

I feel depressed about this. ''I don't want to go out with your cousin,''  I give justification for nothing.

''Dating is so good! I got a gift on our hundredth day of dating...'' Ji-hye stops typing and leans over the table, bringing her mouth closer to my ear. ''Tomorrow is Saturday. I'm going to call your mom and tell her we're going to get ice cream. And C'mon! Wear something very feminine, unnie. Guys like girls dressing short skirts and light makeup. You have a blind date tomorrow!!'', she warns, sitting down again.

Chae won turns her head and looks at me sideways. I ended up smiling at her, but her gaze was distant.

No. She didn't look at me.

I feel ashamed, I turn my face and look outside.

The clouds move calmly, and the wind slowly touches the leaves of the trees.

The doorbell rings softly in three ding dong. All the girls and their rush to get out of the classroom. Among them is Ji-hye, who passes by adjusting her skirt around her waist and goes to kiss Tae-hyung in some dark corner of the boarding school.

I lower my head and imagine her and Tae-hyung exactly the way she told her the first time. She skipped class and went to his apartment, and told me that she didn't take off her skirt because she was embarrassed because it was daytime and the only window didn't have a curtain.

I keep the notebook carefully in my backpack. I'm in no rush to leave. I'm not afraid of Chae won bumping into my laptop and throwing it on the floor.

She's also in no rush. It ended up being just the two of us, but she was faster than me and left first.
