[July 11]

Two hours ago, Chae won, and Sana, Yan, and I were bowling. When it was my turn, and I noticed, Yan and Chae left without saying anything.

Sana, who stayed with me, stays silent, watching my movement. But she seems lost in her thoughts.

When it's her turn, I'm the one who goes on autopilot. I look at the people next to me, smiling and having fun. Some are with their family.

"Your time." Her voice sounds more despondent than anemic. Sana sits on the next chair. I pick up a random ball. I get ready at the front of the track, watch the pins and take a swing, reach out, and let go.

The ball rolls and rolls, sidestepping and knocks down just four.

''I'm not lucky,'' I complain.

In turn, discouraged, Sana lets go of the ball, and it loses control, making trotting sounds and heading disconcertingly to the left.

Awkwardly like a one-legged flamingo with outstretched wings, Sana regains her balance. The ball appears to move in slow motion and, by supernatural force, centers itself and is attracted like a magnet.

''STRIKE!''

She celebrates and turns to me with her intelligent smile. ''I'm rough, bitch!''

When I really get tired of looking at her feet with well-rounded clown shoes and bright orange laces. I take mine off and put on my sneakers. Sana too.

''I'm tired,'' I complain.

''But it's too early.''

''I'm only losing because my nose is still a little swollen and red from the punch in the face you gave me.''

''You're a loser, unnie.''

I follow Sana out of the bow line and we walk slowly along the sidewalk.

''Are you going to drink?'', asks Sana.

''Not today,'' I reply with consternation.

''Drink some and improve your dead face.'' She smiles.

''My mother will notice. Last week she smelled my clothes.''

''You can run away from your parents and lie casually and not be noticed. Just drink some.''

''Better no. Maybe I'm already pushing my luck."

Sana puts her arm around mine. ''I had this fear. After all, we aren't young.''

''But I still imagine my parents scolding me.''

''You already own your life! I'm not telling you to get drunk. It's just to lift your spirits because you look down.''

''It starts with a bottle, a cigarette and then goes...''

''It's impossible to talk to you!'' Sana snorts and shakes her bangs in her face. ''It's a good thing that my parents already tell me to go out. There was a day when my father gave me money to take out of the house so he could fuck the maid.''

''Fuck with the maid?! And your mother?''

''The marriage is a fake. They are kind of friends. I just wanted to stay at home and watch a movie. He offered me his credit card to be alone... and...'' Sana stops with her back to the wall. ''The most beautiful time in the city is at night.''
