Sana lives in this same neighborhood, although a little far away. She says we will go out in the evening. This is exciting.

''Sannieㅡ''

''I'm in a hurry!'' She lightly kicks the door, pushing her and me into my room.

''What are you doing here?'' Da-hye, kneeling on the floor, looks for something under the middle bed.

''Where is Yan?'', Sana asks in a hostile manner.

''She's already gone!'', Da-hye responds in the same tone. She gets up, going to the bathroom with some clothes in hand.

''Who gave this to you?'' Sana asks, looking at the kitkat wrapper on my bed.

''Yan-unnie,'' I reply simply.

As I sit down to put on my sneakers, I see a red towel with two thin blue stripes near the head of the bed. I bring the towel to my nose. It's damp and doesn't smell good. It smells like old things. The towel also has a small rust stain near the edge.

''This towel is from Yan,' Sana takes it and throws it on Yan's bed. ''Please, don't be late. Dad will be here soon.''

''I just need a minute,'' I say, pushing Sana out of the room.

Da-hye is in the shower.

I go upstairs, and in my wardrobe, I look for something casual and fresh. I ended up opting for a black top, light denim shorts, and white converse sneakers.

We wait for her father to arrive on the sidewalk near the security barrier on the sidewalk. Meanwhile, Sana explains some gossip involving her name. From them. Since Yan didn't tell me the exact story behind the rumor that the two were kissing in the chemistry lab (and of course, I'm excited to find out if it's true)

''The seminar room caught fire,' Sana says quickly.

''Fire?''

''Nobody told you?'' She frowns and looks at me in doubt.

''No! What happened?''

''We were smoking, and there was a celebration that day, and they didn't remove the stage curtain, and someone forgot to blow out the candle,'' she says nervously and with accusing looks. ''Look! Dad's car is over there!'' She points to the jeep, parked on the edge of the sidewalk, just ahead.

We run, and Sana opens the back door for me to get in. As soon as she gets in, we go to her house.

''Is this your father?'' I whisper, looking at the driver's bald head.

''He's the driver. Son of a bitch! '' Sana says softly in a hurt tone. We look at each other and Sana laughs. ''I didn't curse him, I cursed my father who didn't come again!''

Along the way, I don't take my eyes off the streets. Sana is a good tour guide. She explains everything in detail. She says there are few houses left in this neighborhood. Real estate companies pay a lot to buy and demolish them, but the Yamazaki don't need that money. His parents are small business owners.
