In the little time I slept last night, the last time I remember looking at the clock was at 3:20 in the morning. Then my sleep was interrupted until 8 am.

The day was monotonous. Wi-Fi connections were disabled because Sana took advantage of the end of the year to torment.

I put the toothbrush back in the holder, close the closet door, and check the whiteness of my smile in the mirror.

I leave with a feeling of forgetfulness, stopping at the bedroom door before entering to look at Chae won, hastily stuffing the clothes into the wardrobe in a disorderly manner, quickly closing both doors and looking at me as if I were a dangerous person... Menacing.

The Cristian School blazer hangs behind her. And does her face turn red when she realizes she couldn't put it away in time?

''What do you do with my cloth?'', I ask, bending down to pick it up and standing up with it hanging from my arm.

''Isn't that my shirt?'' she asks.

I feel the pocket just to check if I'm sure of this, and I don't even need to put it on to see that if it's short on the arms, it's hers. ''That's mine. I wore this to graduation.''

''Are you sure it's not mine?''

''I'm sure. You can use it if you want. It was on the bed and I put it in my bag the day I got here. '' I open the third wardrobe door and throw it inside. My hands slide down her thin, tattooed arms, stopping to look at her red and purple bruises. She asked to be tied to the bed.

I close my hands around her wrists. ''What were you looking for there that you had to throw everything on the floor?''

''I was just looking for my uniform,' she says, looking at my waist.

I run my fingers through her long blonde hair, lift her face a little, and look into her eyes. Her pupils dilated.

A bitter taste blooms in my mouth. Chest discomfort. Yes, maybe she is lying again.

Naturally, I move away from her.
I go to the window, close the curtain, and look out. A tall, mossy green wall three feet away. Snow accumulated at its base and a little gray sky.

''It looks like you're looking for something,'' I comment.

Chae won doesn't respond. She continues to tidy up one of her sneaker boxes thrown under her bed. Nervous and clumsy, with the sneaker in her left hand and the shoelace in her right hand, the girl sits on the carpet and begins to pass the shoelace through one of them, forming an X.

She's much quieter than in previous days.

''Give me one'', I say and walk over, sitting cross-legged. I take the other sneaker that is between her legs and start placing the red laces, going through the first two holes and measuring the length so that it fits correctly.

''Have you gotten this girl's address yet?'' I ask.

''I already wrote it down. It's in an alley here in the neighborhood. I go early in the morning so as not to run the risk of not being seen. '' She looks at me briefly, swallowing hard.

After finishing the laces, we put the sneakers back in the box. She closes it, standing on tiptoe, and throws it on top of the wardrobe.

I lean my back against the edge of the bed and hear Na-young talking in the next room.

The wall between us seems to be very thin, and Na-young has a very melodious and radiant voice, but now she seems to be arguing on the phone.

Chae won picks up the backpack with the drugs that Sana made me bring, and looks at me. A slightly dubious look, as if there was nothing inside. But soon, she returns with her hand from inside her backpack and takes out the black package, tearing it up and throwing everything on the bed.
