"That hurt like a bitch..." Akai groaned, rubbing his chest carefully where his heart was located.

He let himself fall against the mold covered brick walls of the basement as his body began to ache all over. In his place on Yama's mock surgical table was now Ki who is the last to get his hold removed.

The dark demon pulled off his large coat and then removed his long sleeve shirt to help expose his chest. Yama finished putting Akai's hold into a separate bag full of blood, gore, and a deer heart and placed it against Bis' on the floor nearby. Just one more hold to do and they'll all be ready to leave.

Yama cleaned his knife and tools off with his old wet rag that was soaked in demon blood and disintegrating by the second before going to the table to operate on a person who he doesn't particularly like.

When Ki was done getting shirtless he laid down on his back and kept a stone-cold look on his face. Yama watched him for a few seconds before he began. "I see you haven't been taking care of the bandages."

"Just get on with it." Ki lowly spoke.

The doctor kept his chuckle to himself. He can at any time make an 'accident' and kill the big oaf within a second. The world knows that it's better off without him.

But Yama wouldn't foul his reputation as a doctor like that. Even with his worse enemy.

"Just lay back and try not to move." Yama instructed. "I would give you a towel to bite down on but you seem like someone who can handle the pain."

"Quit talking and do it." Ki sounded a little more impatient that time. He wasn't here to bicker with the doctor, he's trying to be free from Zankoku.

The doctor rolled his eyes and got started on cutting the bandages covering the left side of Ki's chest. Akai was finally feeling stable enough to walk so he pushed himself off the wall and started heading to the exit. "I'll go find Dog and tell him to start getting (Y/N) out. I'll meet the both of you at the gate."

"And if things don't go as you plan, is there a plan B, brother?" Yama asked as he started removing the bandages and exposing Ki's burnt skin. "You always have to think twice in a place like this."

Akai turned his back to Yama. "I would rather keep that to myself, thanks."

The doctor grew suspicious but he didn't let that show. "Smart move. Not wise to trust too many people."

"And your plans?" Ki spoke up.

"Same as always." The doctor kept his tone normal and still. "Leave the area and rid the two of you from my life for good. Might stay near the ocean."

Akai tsked as he finally turned to face his brother. "So that means you aren't worried about what will happen to (Y/N)? Just your own skin?"

"Why would I be?" The doctor met his twin's eyes.

Instead of Akai nor Ki answering, they both let it go but on the inside, they had a suspicion. Akai looked his brother up and down before finally turning to leave. "Just hurry up and get done. We only have a couple of hours left."

Yama watched Akai leave before shaking his head and focusing back on Ki. "Sometimes that boy worries me but then I remember, I don't care."

Akai entered the basement halls and started traveling back up to the main asylum. It was still dark outside from what he can see through the cracks in the ceiling and walls but it wouldn't be long until Zankoku begins his plans. They'll have to get (Y/N) out as soon as possible.
