Claire's POV
I'm 3 weeks pregnant! I was scared at first, but I'm just really glad I have someone to go through this with. Hayden has been a really great friend and her and Iris aren't really friends anymore (she wasn't ever really my friend tbh). Henry and I don't talk anymore, so I just think we're completely done. It's really sad my baby won't grow up with a dad.
Today is our last day of school. It's only a half day, so Hayden, Eileen and I decided to go to the beach. I went home to change into my swim suit and a cover up along with towels. We met up at the beach (it wasn't a far walk) and we decided to take some pics and Eileen and I took a cute pic that Hayden took (above).
Hayden and Eileen are becoming really good friends and it makes me so happy. They never really got along, but Hayden gave her a chance since I told her Eileen helped me when I was forced to tell my mom about the pregnancy.
We hung out on the sand and sun bathed. We were like the only ones there. We eventually got in the water, but I got really sick and almost threw up, so we had to leave early.
"You know what I'm really craving right now?" I asked them
"What? " Hayden said as she was packing up
"Some ice cream" I said with a smile
"We can stop if you want" Hayden said and Eileen and I nodded excitedly. We stopped for ice cream and then we headed home.
My mom saw me come in and she told me dinner was almost finished. I decided to take a shower and throw on a hoodie and shorts and put my hair in a messy bun. I went to Alice's room and saw her drawing. I sat next to her
"Whatcha drawing?" I asked, looking at her paper. It looked like a girl holding something, she pointed to the girl
"That's you" she said, then she pointed to the thing the girl was holding
"That's your baby" she said and I started to see it
"Oh, that's a good drawing" I told her
"I want it to be a girl" she said "that's why I gave it a bow" she said, pointing to the pink blob on the baby's head
"Yeah, it's pretty" I said
"Do you want a girl?" She asked, looking up at me, I moved her bangs out of her eyes
"I just want a healthy baby" I said, smiling at her. I wasn't lying, I just wanted a healthy baby, whether it was a girl or a boy
"If you could choose, which would you pick; boy or girl?" She said, which made me giggle
"I would choose a boy, but I would be just as happy with a girl" I said, she laughed
"Like Scottie? " She said
"I guess" I said
"Do you have a name?" She asked and I had to think
"I'm not choosing a name until I see him or her" I said. That was my way of saying I didn't have a name, but I did have a couple for each gender in mind, but until I see their face, I'm not deciding.
"Dinner's ready!" My mom yelled up the stairs. I stood up and so did Alice
"Piggyback" she said, lifting her arms. I leaned down and she got on my back, I carried her down the stairs.
"Alice, do you want apple juice or milk?" My mom asked putting Alice's pasta on the table
"Apple juice please" she said. I put her down in her chair and I sat down next to Scott while he shoved pasta in his mouth
"Sissy, look" he said, he held out his yucky, pasta fingers at me
"Eww, your silly Scottie" I said, my mom filled Alice's cup with apple juice and Scott's with chocolate milk and gave it to him. I poured some lemonade in my cup and put pasta on plate and sat down. Scott offered his pasta to me and I told him to eat it and he threw it on the ground.
"No Scott, eat it" my mom said and I helped her clean up the mess on the floor.
After dinner, I text Eileen and asked if she had plans tomorrow, she said no and I asked her if she wanted to come with me to my 3 week doctor appointment, she said yes.
"Who are you texting?" My mom asks, she was cleaning dishes and I was putting them away
"Eileen, I asked if she wanted to come to my appointment tomorrow" I tell her
"Oh, do you want me to come?" She asks
"What about Scott and Alice?" I ask
"You're right" she says
"Eileen says she'll come" I tell her
"That's good" she says, Scott comes up behind me and grabs my leg
"I gotchu" he says, I laugh
"Looks like I've been captured" I say and he smiles.
