Claire's POV
"Its Christmas" Scott says, running in my room
"What time is it" I say picking my phone up "it's only 6:45" I tell him "Zealand isn't even awake yet" I say, looking over at Zealand, peacefully asleep in his crib
"But there are so many presents down stairs" Scott says and I hit him with my pillow
"Wake me up when Zealand wakes up" I tell him and he grunts
"Ok, fine" he stomps out of my room.
a couple hours later
"Claire, wake up" Scott says
"What?" I say, rolling over in bed and sitting up
"Zealand is awake" he says, pointing at Zealand who is rolling around in his crib
"No he's not, he's just moving around" I tell him and I check the time on my phone "its 8:30, go open presents without us" I say, laying back down
Mom said no opening presents without Claire and Zealand" he says "can't you just wake Zealand up?" he asks
"No, I'm not waking him up just to open a few presents" I tell him "now be quiet and don't you dare wake up that toddler" I add and he crosses his arms
"Ugh" he pouts "no fair" he storms off and I go back to sleep.
A while later, Zealand wakes up and starts yelling for me in his crib. I get him out
"Well, good morning my prince" I tell him and he rubs his eyes "it's Christmas today" I tell him and he just stares at me blankly
"Cwistmas?" He asks and I smile
"You get new toys" I tell him and his eyes open wide and I catch an early morning smile
"Toys?" He asks me and I nod, he claps his hands and laughs
"Come on, let's get them" I tell him and I put him down and we go downstairs
"Merry Christmas" Scott, Alice, and mom says as we come downstairs
"Merry Christmas" I say back and Zealand just smiles at them.
We start opening presents and Zealand doesn't really understand the unwrapping part, but he's a smart boy so he gets it after I show him.
Ezra invites me and Zealand over for his family Christmas to introduce me to them. I agree and I get Zealand dressed in his Santa shirt and red pants, I also put his black boots on him and his Santa hat. I put my red shirt on and skirt on and my black Santa belt on with my matching Santa hat with Zealand.
I drive over to Ezra's house and I go inside. Ezra's mom, Amber, welcomes me inside and Ezra invites me to sit next to him for Christmas brunch. I sit down with Zealand on my lap and everyone coos at him and he enjoys the attention. Zealand waves at everyone he meets and he even hugs some of them, even though he's usually a shy toddler to strangers.
After brunch, Ezra takes me outside and says he's giving me a present
"Merry Christmas babe" he says and gets down on his knees "I know we haven't graduated high school yet, but I love you and I wanna be with you for the rest of my life" he starts and I cry "so with the consent of your mother, I want to marry you, that is, if you're ready" he says
"I want to be with you for the rest of my life" I tell him and he stands up and puts the ring on my finger and kisses me. It was a beautiful ring, diamond and shiny. Zealand comes running out and Amber comes out behind me
"Hi baby" I say, picking Zealand up and hugging him
