The next day, January 28
Claire's POV
I woke up early, it was time to bring Zealand home. I was feeling a lot better and got a couple hours of sleep last night. I was so glad Zealand was here.
I stood up and picked Zealand up out of his bassinet and Mom took some pictures of me and him. I kissed his forehead and watched him coo, his noises were the best noises I've ever heard. I strapped him into his carseat and carried him out of the hospital. I buckled Zealand's carseat into the car and took some going home pictures.
We stopped for lunch at McDonald's (Scott's request, but I didn't complain) Zealand was sleeping, which was a good thing. We took Hayden home and then we went home. Eileen texted and asked if her and Neo could come over and hang out. I told her of course.
She rang the bell and I let her in. She saw me holding Zealand and we switched babies. Neo was so much smaller than Zealand. Zealand had a big head and Neo wasn't nearly as long as him. Zealand was a couple more pounds than Neo even when Neo was almost 2 weeks older than him. We took some pictures with the boys together and us holding each other's baby.
I breastfed Zealand and he was really fast at latching, which I was really happy for since I knew nothing about breastfeeding.
Alice and Scott were in love with Zealand. They always wanted to hold him.
A couple hours later Grandma comes over and meets Zealand. She holds her great grandson and I could tell she was in love. She starts tearing up
"You are the most beautiful baby boy ever" she says, she looks up at me "you did good, baby girl" she pats my back and smiles.
