2 weeks later, September 2nd
Claire's POV
Today was the the day Eileen and I were finding out the gender. Hayden, Eileen and my mom were coming with me to my appointment (which was first) and Hayden and I were going to Eileen's.
I sat on the table and the doctor put the lubricating jelly on my stomach.
"Before we find out the gender, do you guys wanna guess?" I ask them
"I'm guessing boy" Hayden says almost immediately
"I want you to have a girl and me to have a boy" Eileen says
"I want a granddaughter" mom says "but a grandson works too" she adds
"GIRL!" Alice says loudly
"BOY!" Scott says louder
"Calm down" mom says to them. The doctor smiles and moves the transducer around my stomach
"It looks like... It's a boy!" The doctor says excitedly
"YES!" Scott says really loud
"But I wanted it to be a girl" Alice says
"I'm so happy, I get a little boy" I say
"I get a grandson" mom says
"I hope I have a girl" Eileen says, crossing her fingers
"Yeah, they'll be besties" I say.
Mom and the kids leave and we go to Eileen's appointment. She sits on the table and her doctor does the same thing mine did.
"Do you have any last minute guesses?" Her doctor says
"I'm pregnant with a boy, so I'm hoping she's having a girl" I say
"Same thing for me" Eileen says
"Oh, congratulations" the doctor says and I hold my stomach "well, it seems like maybe you'll get a boy too" she says, moving the transducer around. I grab Eileen's hand
"We're gonna have little boys" I tell her
"Yeah, I guess that's ok" she says "they'll be crazy together" she adds, making me laugh
"They're gonna be best friends" I say.
