Claire's POV
Zealand is over a month old now! Eileen and I have decided that we would go back to school the next school year so we don't have to randomly show up. It's been almost a year since we last went to school and we are pretty much hated by everyone now because of Iris but Hayden's been doing pretty good, but I think we'll be ok.
I woke up extremely early... Or should I say Zealand woke up early and decided to wake me up too😂😂 I'm joking, I'm his mama, I had to wake up with him. Eileen invited us to a playdate at the park, so I packed the diaper bag and grabbed a bagel on my way out.
We walked to the park and Eileen was on her phone while Neo was looking around in her arms. I laid a blanket down and set Zealand on his belly. He has started to raise his head a little, he'll start gaining head control soon. I turned Zealand on his back and Eileen set Neo on the blanket next to him and he just stared at Zealand.
After a while of me and Eileen talking about our week, we decided to go and get some ice cream at the ice cream parlor nearby.
When we walked over there with our babies, Eileen stopped me and pushed me around the corner fast
"What is it?" I ask and she shushes me
"I think that's Iris" she says looking around the corner, I take a peek
"It is" I say. Iris walks past us and we hurry and get in line for ice cream. I feel a hand grab my shoulder
"Hello" I turn around to see Iris standing behind me
"What do you want?" Eileen asks
"Did you guys see my website?" She asks in a cutesy way
"Yeah, you spread lies about us" I tell her and she crossed her arms
"They weren't all lies, you two have babies" she says holding her hand out, pointing to our boys
"We weren't pregnant with the same guy's baby though" I tell her
"Well, close enough" she says rolling her eyes
"No, those were lies, Iris, and you know it" Eileen says
"It doesn't matter" she says, she turns to leave
"I was pregnant with Henry's baby and Eileen was... " I started but Iris suddenly flips around
"Did you say Henry was the father?" She asks and suddenly Zealand starts crying, I rock him back and forth
"Yeah, he's my ex" I tell her. I was sure she knew that because he was on my Instagram post
"Oh" she says "well just so you know, I'm dating him" she says turning around, I turn her back to face me
"Yeah right" I say "he wouldn't go for you" I add and she pulls out her phone and shows me a picture of her and Henry kissing
"See? We're dating" she says and puts her phone back on her back pocket "bye now, I'm meeting him at the park" I just stand there as she walks away
"Are you ok?" Eileen asks concerningly
"Yeah, yeah I'm good" I say, looking down at my sleeping baby "I'm fine, let's just go" I walk away
"Wait what about ice cream?" She asks, catching up with me
"I don't want it anymore" I tell her. We walk past the park and I spot Iris and Henry making out and I start tearing up. Eileen puts a hand on my shoulder and we walk over to the bench we were sitting by and I throw the blanket in my diaper bag
"Uh, Claire?" I turn around and see Henry standing behind me
"What do you want?" I say, wiping my tears
"Iris told me you were over here" he says
"So?" I say shrugging
"Are you crying?" He asks
"Why do you care?" I ask, I was getting really agitated
"I'm just gonna go" he says, backing up, I lose it
"Yeah, go make out with my worst enemy and just have the time of your life while I'm stuck taking care of YOUR son that you didn't care about" I yell at him, waking Zealand up "oh, I'm sorry baby, mommy is just upset" I kiss his head
"Why didn't you just get an abortion?" Henry asks and I stare at him
"Because he's a human, Henry, he's got a heartbeat, he's just a baby" I tell Henry and he puts his hands up in defeat
"Sorry, don't get mad" he says and I was about to take his head off
"It's too late Henry, just leave me alone" I say and I lay Zealand in the stroller and I start walking away, I hear Eileen behind me
"Nice going, asshole" she says "why you gotta mess with her?" She asks
"I'm sorry, Iris said to come talk with her" he says
"Iris is a bitch and just needs to leave poor Claire alone" she starts to walk away, but she turns back around "I don't know what you see in her" she turns around and Henry curses under his breath and walks away. Eileen comes over to me and I hug her while crying
"It's gonna be ok, Claire" she says rubbing my back
"I hate him so much" I say in tears
"We can hate him and Iris together" she says and I smile
"Thank you for sticking with me in tough times" I say and she smiles
"Thats what friends are for" she says and we start walking home.
