Claire's POV
Zealand is 10 months today. He really loved Cocomelon and Yogurt. He loves playing with teething toys, he's also cutting in 2 of his top teeth. He was also getting really good at crawling. I loved watching him and Neo playing together.
I was starting to plan Zealand's 1st birthday party. I wanted it to be Cocomelon themed since he loved watching the show. I had already ordered his birthday present, which was a Cocomelon crib sheet. I did end up getting Zealand a crib which is in the corner of the room and he loves sleeping in it.
I got Zealand dressed in his black t shirt and striped pants and took his picture in the arm chair (above) and then I put a jean jacket over him so he doesn't get cold (it was starting to get chilly outside). I took him down stairs and put him in his high chair and I put Cocomelon on TV and cut some grapes up and strawberries and put them in his tray. Mom had a doctor appointment for Scott, so she and the kids went to that and they wouldn't be home till later.
I got dressed and did my hair in the downstairs bathroom next to Zealand so I could keep an eye on him. I sat down next to him and listened to the nursery rhymes on the TV while Zealand danced and ate his food. After he ate the grapes, I fed him strawberry yogurt and then got him down so he could play with his toys on the floor. I put the gate on the stairs and sat on the couch while Zealand danced to Cocomelon and I laughed. I took a video of Zealand dancing and sent it to Eileen, and she put the laughing emoji.
Eileen came over later and brought Neo over to play with Zealand. They did a cute thing where they hugged each other when they saw each other and it made us feel happy that they were best friends. Zealand loves to hug people now and even if they were strangers, he would hug them and rest his head on their shoulder.
"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to come to my church tomorrow" Eileen asks "they are so welcoming and they love babies" she adds
"I don't know, I'm not really religious" I say and she smiles
"The only reason I'm so optimistic is because I know there is someone who is there for me" she says and I shrug
"I guess I could try it out, what time should I be there?" I ask
"9:00 or earlier, my mom and I could pick you up" she says
"That would be great, is it the church by the park?" I ask and she nods
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow then" she says and picks Neo up, he kinda waves to me and I pick up Zealand and he hugs Neo.
