Claire's POV
Today was Isaac's first birthday and today was the day the rest of our family meets Zealand.
I breastfed Zealand and put him in his carseat and put his diaper bag under his seat. I also put the baby carrier wrap and the stroller in the trunk and got in the car. Zealand started crying, but when Mom started driving, he calmed down. I guess he was a fan of the car.
It was an hour drive and when we finally arrived, I got Zealand out of the car and threw the diaper bag over my shoulder.
"Can I carry Zealand in?" Alice asked
"No, but you can carry the stroller in" I said
"Ok" she said excitedly, she grabbed the stroller and followed behind me. Everyone was sitting and chatting when we went inside. I walked in and everything shifted and everyone gathered around me and Zealand
"He's so cute" some people said "he looks just like you" others said and all the kids asked to hold him. I passed him around the family and showed the kids. Zealand was passed out and was just so peaceful. Isaac was wearing his 'I'm 1' t shirt and suspenders.
Soon it was time for cake and we all sang as Isaac smiles at everyone
"Happy birthday to you" we all sing "happy birthday to Isaac, happy birthday to you" we all clap while we try and get him to blow out the candle.
Charlotte comes up to me and just looks at me, she finally grabs my hand
"Listen, I'm sorry for the things I said, I was just jealous" she says and I just look at her "you're such a good mom to your little boy" she says "I'm so sorry" she adds and I smile
"I forgive you" I say smiling, she smiles back
"Thank you" she says and hugs me "hello handsome" she says to Zealand who was asleep in my arms "may I hold him?" She asks
"Yeah, sure" I gently place Z in her arms and she bounces up and down slowly
"You're giving me so much baby fever" Charlotte says to me and I laugh
"You'll have one of your own one day" I laugh and she laughs too. We all sit down to eat dinner and I place Zealand in the stroller and I start rocking it as he sleeps.
We finish our meal and Isaac starts opening his gifts while I walk outside around the house while pushing Zealand in the stroller. He wakes up and just starts cooing and being his cute self
"You love moving huh Z?" I say in a cutesy voice
"Can I walk with you?" Alice asks
"Don't you wanna watch Isaac open his presents?" I ask her
"Not really" she says, looking down at her shoes
"Then sure, you can walk with us" I tell her and she runs over to me
"Is Zee awake?" She asks
"Yes, but he's being very good, so don't bother him" I instruct her
