Claire's POV
After school, I walk home. I open the door and see my mom getting ready for work.
"Make sure Alice and Scott get to bed by 9:00" my mom says as she packs her bag "Alice is upstairs, she might be hungry, so please give her a snack" she kisses Scott's head as he eats his grapes in his highchair
"Ok mom, they'll be fine, I do this everyday" I say, dropping my bag
"I know, I'm sorry, I hate working late" she sighs "is Henry coming over?" She asks
"He can" I shrug, Henry is my boyfriend of 2 years, he's almost 18 but he's the sweetest guy ever and so nice to my mom and siblings
"Tell him hi for me" she hugs me and leaves.
I head upstairs with cut up apple slices, string cheese and a juice box for Alice, my 6 year old sister, she sees me and hugs me
"Hey Ally, how was kindergarten?" I ask, setting her plate down
"Good" she says taking a bite of the apple "I learned about the letter S today" she smiles
"S for Scott?" I ask her
"Yeah, and sissy" she adds
"Aww, yeah and sissy" I hug her, she can get on my nerves, but she is still my sister.
An hour later
I hear a knock on the door and I see Henry come in. I run down stairs to greet him, but Scott greets him first
"Hey little guy" Henry ruffles his curly hair and Scott takes his pacifier out of his mouth and smiles at him. Scott is 2 years old and still has to have a pacifier in his mouth, which I guess is ok since he hasn't gotten his bottom back teeth yet, so it could be a teething thing.
Henry hugs me "when is your mom coming home?" He asks
"Late at night, around 12" I tell him as we sit down on the couch. Scott sits on my lap and watches Blippi which is his favorite show.
"Ok" he says with a smile, I smile back
"I love you" I tell him
"I love you and we've been dating for 2 years, let's have some fun" he begs me. It takes me a while, but I love Henry and I don't want him to leave me, so I agree
"Alright, fine " I roll my eyes and smile "let me get them fed and bathed and I'll put them to bed early" he hugs me. I warm up some leftover pizza for Alice and Scott, and then I cut Scott's up in tiny pieces
"Chocolate milk!" Scott yells as he waddles over to the kitchen
"Just a second Scottie" I tell him, I put his pizza down to cool and pick him up and set him in his highchair. I make him chocolate milk in his sippy cup and give him his pizza. Henry comes down the stairs with Alice on his shoulders and he throws her on the couch while she laughs.
"There's the other monkey" he says as Alice puts her arms up to him and asks for him to do it again
"Alice, it's time for dinner, sit down" I say as I set her pizza down in her chair. By the time Alice sits down, Scott already asks for more.
"More pizza" he asks while he gulps down his chocolate milk
"Ok Scottie" I tell him and I take his plate, Henry sits down next to Scott
"you're a big eater aren't ya bud?" Henry asks, Scott drinks his milk and nods.
After the kids eat, I forget about the baths and just put some pjs on them and brush Scott's teeth and Alice asked me to put her hair in braids

I read them a bedtime story while Henry did the dishes for me. Scott went straight to sleep after the bedtime story, but Alice wanted another one, so I read her one more, but we didn't even get passed the first page before she went to sleep.
