19. A Day at the Beach

Jasmine and I got took separate paths and got ready to go to the beach; we met at the camp gate, she was holding a basket with her usual camp uniform. I had dark clothes, like I always do, with a backpack hanging over my shoulder, "Hey Brian, you ready?" Asked Jasmine smiling "sure am, now hold on" I said holding out my arm, she smiled and hugged my arm.

I concentrated on a nice and clean beach as I closed my eyes making us teleport there, I heard Jasmine giggle after a while "you chose a great place Brian" she said as she let go of my arm and walked towards the white sand, setting a blanket and an umbrella next to it. I looked around and saw white sand, crystal clear waters, calm waves, tall palm trees and a warm breeze moving them. Yeah I finally found a calm place "Hey death boy, you gonna keep starring at everything or go change?" Jasmine yelled from the blanket.

I laughed softly and walked off to the palm trees, just far away to where I had some privacy. I didn't have any swimsuits so I bought some at the camp store; they only sold me some black swimming shorts with skulls on it, I was about to remove my shirt, but I remembered the scar and left it on.

After I was done changing into these, stereotypical shorts for a child of Hades, I was gathering my stuff; I couldn't help but feel someone near me, like if some eyes had its gaze fixed on me. I didn't pay much attention to it and walked back to the beach, Jasmine had already changed into a dark blue one-piece swimsuit with a cloud pattern, she looked over at me and laughed "really? you're wearing that?" she asked and I smirked "I could say the same thing about you"

She rolled her eyes "oh hush, I forgot I don't own one, and this is what they would sell at the camp store" she explained

I laughed softly lying next to her "that's the same thing they said to me"

She chuckled and turned to see me "we should probably burn it down" I laughed and nodded "yup we probably should".

"anyway" she said getting up "put on some sunscreen cause we going swimming" I smiled slightly "need help with yours?" I asked smirking, she smacked my head  "oh ha ha. No" she glared and started to rub some sunscreen on her, I shortly did the same and then we raced to the water.

For once in my life I was actually having fun, heh, we spent most of the day swimming, splashing, building sand castles; what you would usually do on the beach, we did so much yet the sun was still out, we were both laying down on the blanket staring at some clouds and saying what they look like "a rabbit" jasmine said "a dragon" I said pointing "an eagle with an afro" we both said at the same time making us laugh, "you know. I haven't had this much fun in like... forever" Jasmine said and I nodded in agreement "same here cousin" we looked at each other and smiled, but Jasmine's smile faded and her eyes widened, before I could ask, I was hit in the back of my head knocking me out.

I woke up with a huge pain on my neck, I tried rubbing it, but I couldn't; I was chained up to a palm tree "what in Tartarus?" I mumbled under my breath, suddenly I heard Jasmine scream, I looked over and saw. Jack, in some swimming speedo, next to him was Jasmine strapped to the pole from the umbrella, her hands were tied to the top and her feet on the base "Let her go!!" I screamed and Jack simply turned grinning "ah, you're finally awake, now we can begin" he said smirking and walking towards me "you know. I really liked your sister Kat, but well... she died. I was gonna ask her out before that brat showed up, and since you two seem so close and you're the one who didn't wish Kat back. To make matters worse, you took the blessing away from me. Let's say,I'm shooting two birds with one stone" he spit on my face and walked to Jasmine "so what are you gonna do kill me?" she asked growling, Jack held onto her chin "no. that would be too easy, and that boy over there could bring you back, so I'll just make you mine".

I could only feel anger and hatred towards Jack, everything we've been through just so it can get to this!?.

I couldn't do much with my hands chained, my rings were in my backpack, which was right next to him, all I could do was watch and try to wiggle away. Jack licked his lips and forcefully kissed Jasmine, she squirmed and bit his lip making it bleed, he backed up and wiped the blood "you little slut!" he then slapped Jasmine and left his hand mark on her face. He then proceeded to glide his hand on Jasmine's sides "I will have so much fun corrupting you," he chuckled "after I'm done with you, you'll want to give birth to all the kids you could even have in this life. So get ready cause we start right now, in front of your best friend" he grinned and reached for the strap on his speedo, Jasmine had tears in her eyes and had a look that said 'save me'.

This only made me get angrier, both dark flames and shadows surrounded me, melting the chains, I quickly ran and took one of the dual blade rings, turned it into the blade and tackled Jack, he went face first on the sand. As he was getting up, I walked over and picked him up by the neck "you think I would let you do such thing to her!? I thought we were friends" Jack just smirked and once again spit on my face. I wiped it off and swiftly moved the blade cutting off what little excuse he had to call himself a man.

He tried screaming, but I tightened my grip on his throat "I will make you suffer, you worthless piece of space!" I said coldly and threw him on the sand; before he could move, I slashed off his legs, he screamed so loud that some birds flew away.

Next up were his arms; all that was left of Jack was his torso and head, I positioned myself to cut off his head and smiled widely "say goodnight!!" the blade went down like a knife on butter. I laughed and kicked his limbs together "I send these demi-godly parts to the darkest depths of Tartarus!" soon the earth beneath it opened and closed as soon as it fell, taking all the blood spilt from the perfect white sand.

I took deep breaths and then walked to Jasmine who was shaking "shh, there there, he's gone" I said in a soft voice as I undid her straps, when she was released she quickly hugged me "t-thanks Brian, I-I told you, you are my prince in shining armor" I smiled and held onto her "yeah yeah...sorry about what you saw I ...didn't know I could be so..." Jasmine shook her head and buried her face on my shoulder "it doesn't matter....let's promise to always protect each other..... Darkness and thunder together until the end" she said cheerfully

I nodded "I promise to protect you, Thunder and darkness together until the end" as soon as I ended saying those words the Cerberus mark from my neck became visible, as did Jasmine's eagle. The marks hovered upwards and fused together forming a Cerberus with wings, which separated into two same halves and flew back to where the original marks were. Jasmine and I stared in shock and she said "guess we just made an oath"

"guess we did, and I'm glad" I said smiling and she nodded "so am I Brian...so am I"
