Days past by. Jasmine and I spent a lot of time together; either training, chatting or welcoming new campers and showing them around. There was this one kid, a Dionysus camper named Jesse, he was about my age and didn't knew anything. He was just brought here by a satyr; Jasmine and I showed him around, he even took a shining towards me "uh...Mister Grey" he said looking down. "please, mister Grey was my fa.... erm.... just call me Brian" Jasmine laughed, I glared at her making her smirk and stick her tongue out "mister Brian ...can I talk to you...alone?". I raised an eyebrow and looked at Jasmine, she nodded and walked away "so jess, what did you wanted to talk about?" he didn't answer, instead he played with his shirt "uh...gods this is embarrassing..... well" he gulped and looked away, I stayed quiet and waited for him to finish his sentence. "Well... I uh... Suck at using bows and arrows....could you...help me?" he asked not looking up from the ground, I chuckled and nodded "sure thing bud, but why take so long to ask?" he sighed and shook his head "it's because," he hesitated , " I like bows, but I have no clue on how to use one"
I laughed which made him pout and walk away, I walked with him and ruffled his hair "if that's all then I will, bud" he looked up at me smiling "great. Let's go" he said running to the archery range.
Strangely enough, there was no one else in the training grounds. Jesse got a training bow; I got mine out. I started to lecture him about bows and the different styles of them; he had his gaze fixed on me like a lion would on its prey. A while later, I showed him how to hold it, but he just kept messing up; I had to hold his hands and show him how to hold the bow and shoot it. I would occasionally catch him looking at me instead of the target. Soon he got the hang of it and kept shooting arrows at the target, some missing, but he managed to not shoot anyone.
He beamed proudly and walked toward me "Brian, I have something to tell you" I raised an eyebrow and motioned him to go on, he took a deep breath and hugged me tightly "please, please, please don't hate me for what I'm about to do"
I stood there confused, then he looked into my eyes; his eyes were a bright purple color, his dark hair almost covering both of his eyes, his thin lips pursing slightly.
Before I knew it, he pressed our lips together for a while, before running off. I stayed in shock. After I snapped out of it, I dragged him back with a shadow, he was blushing bright red not meeting my eyes "please...don't hurt me".
I released him from the shadows, held onto his shoulders and kissed him deeply. He was blushing up to his ears, his face was heating up, and I could even feel how he was melting in my arms.
I pulled back only to see a Jesse with complete purple pupils starring my way "if what you wanted was a kiss, you could've just asked for it silly" he mumbled and pointed to his lips "m-more?" he said. I smiled and kissed him again, my hands went down holding his waist as he wrapped his arms around my neck. The kiss didn't break until after we heard some noises; we hurried out of the range. We hid behind a tree and looked into each other's eyes. "uh...don't take this the wrong way, but... I want this to be a secret...not ready to go out in public being gay" said Jesse looking down "it's fine. As long as you're comfortable" I said before planting a kiss on his lips, he blushed and nodded "see ya later Brian" Jesse said as he walked away.
I walked to the lake; somehow it's where Jasmine and I spent most of our time. Jasmine was there looking at the far side while humming some lullaby in Greek, I sat next to her and she nudged me "so what did he wanted to talk about?"
"Oh uh... guy stuff" she rolled her eyes and punched my shoulder "tell me now Brian"
I laughed softly and looked at her "it's nothing to worry that little pretty head of yours"
she blushed and smacked my head "oh hush you"
I laughed even harder, she pouted and puffed her cheeks, I couldn't help myself but poke her cheeks making her glare and punch my other shoulder.
We just kept laughing and talking until night fell; she went to her cabin. I was walking to mine until some Hermes kids pulled me aside "hey wha-!?" one held my mouth and whispered "we gonna do something, but we need you" I raised an eyebrow and judo flipped the one holding my mouth "what exactly do you guys want"
"to mess with a god " the one I judo flipped managed between pants and groans. I gave them a confused look, they chuckled "it's fun, now you in or not" I thought about it for a moment and then nodded.
They formed a circle and two of them held on to one of my hands "okay, teleport us to Olympus" one said. I closed my eyes, I imagined how Olympus looked and we were teleported to some gardens in Olympus.
"okay everyone take a different temple, meet back here when y'all done" one whispered before they scampered away. I shrugged and sneaked into a faraway temple, I peeped my head through a small window; all I could see were books, jars, exotic plants, signs and cloths. Nothing of interest, until I saw what was a thick tome on a perch; I was drawn to it, almost like if it was saying my name. I ran towards it and took it before running out.
I tried getting to the garden, but I saw everyone I came with fly off of Olympus; either carrying someone who was injured or something from a god or goddess.
I sighed and teleported back to my cabin, I was already on my bunk starring at the tome; when I opened it, it read 'The Book of Hecate from Lagina'. The book from the goddess of magic, she also resides in the underworld, maybe I could be able to use it seeing how we're both from underworld, I you're mortal: hell.
I sighed and hid the tome under my bunk and tried to sleep, but some voices kept whispering in my ear
"why did you leave?"
"why didn't you help?"
"why didn't you save us?"
